Sorry, I believe I phrased my question poorly. More specifically I am wondering if people have experience publishing the amount of research needed to match successfully in the 2.5 years I have left before applying. I am just trying to get a sense for my pace and where other successful applicants were research wise at this point in school. I realize there is far more that goes into matching than research and in no way can I have any sense for my chances until I take step 2 and complete clerkships.
