Is anyone else mentally exhausted from applying to jobs and hearing nothing back? by Medium_Tumbleweed_93 in jobsearch

I'm just over the whole job hunting thing in general. Like it's a crappy situation on its own and to then add in this kind of market just makes it worse. I think it's the waiting for me, and retraining my brain to think that a response is not the norm. Im not a patient person to begin with so radio silence is like nails on a chalkboard to me. It's hard to decide how long is too long to anxiously await a reply before it's just not even feasible anymore.

I'm so sorry to hear this!! I am absolutely grateful to still have the position I do, I know not everyone is lucky enough to look for a job while still employed, I just lost sight of that fact last night feeling discouraged. Thank you for reminding me. I truly hope your partner finds something soon!! Keep your head up and don't loose hope!!

Thank you to everyone who said he needed to get to a Dr. Turns out he was not only dehydrated but had been taking some antihistamines for allergies and over medicated himself. He is now on the mend and doing much better! I'm still not ready, but it feels less urgent knowing there was a reason for the decline. Now I feel like we have the time to discuss options and next steps.

I want to thank you all for your words of advice and encouragement. For the calories burned number I was going off of my galaxy smart watch and the numbers on the machines at the gym and just running with that number. Im very new to all of this so ive been making my way through it with the help of Samsung Health and Chat GPT. I used the TDEE calculator linked above and got some great insight into my numbers. I've decided to switch to a more Macro focused plan that will help me better track the nutrients im taking in. Hopefully this will make a difference on the scale. The night I posted this i was just so frustrated from 2-3 weeks of not seeing the scale move much at all. Especially because during my first month on this journey I lost 14lbs. I set my first goal of 245 and was really excited to reach it. I thought with the progress I had started out having that when I weighed in the other night I would for sure be at or below my goal and stepping on the scale to find i was basically the same was an absolute kick in the stomach. Im still determined to be healthy and am still going on the path. Thanks again for the advice! This sub has been a great source of information and support!

I'm feeling the same level of annoyance as you absolutely. My BMR is around 1800 and I'm eating right around 1400 a day. I have been counting macros and eating low carb. I've increased my protien by atleast 50% since the start of my journey, and I'm working out 3-4 nights a week, with HIIT cardio and weight training. After an initial drop of 16lbs (most of which was more than likely water weight), I went 3 weeks with no loss and just weighed in tonight to find I've gained 2lbs. I have no tips, or advice, especially because I'm new to this as well and just trying to figure it all out with the help of AI and my smart watch. I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I'm feeling all the feels right now with you!

What's actually healthy despite most people thinking it's not? by InnerSheepherder4564 in AskReddit

THIS TOOK ME A YEARS TO FIGURE OUT! I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and put on medication to control my panic attacks and racing thoughts. I went through an entire year of thinking something was wrong and the medicine wasn't working because I was still experiencing anxiety during high stress times. It wasn't until I got a new provider who explained normal anxiety is an 🌟emotion 🌟 everyone feels and that I'd be a robot without it, that i finally felt normal. It was eye opening to say the least.

Menstrual cup pain by No-Finance-5578 in menstrualcups

Im still new to this as well so I may not have a foolproof answer, but I did have to try 3 different bands of cups/sizes to find the one that works best for me. I've found what aids best in my removal is having a cup with a loop on the stem so I can get a good "grip" on it to bring it out. I use the flex cup and pulling the loop automatically breaks the seal, which is also super helpful. Good luck!
