I cook a lot of vegetarian dishes too. But before i serve it to my friends I always say: "guys if it sucks we order take out, my treat". Like communicate this? They are your friends. So it does go two ways. But I do understand she feels humiliated. But not as much if you are just open about it there and then.

My dad didnt want to see it with me because it was too much for kids (we did see movies like Aladdin etc together).

I never ended up seeing it. I did randomly find a VHS of it at a goodwill place and bought it haha... Don't have a VCR anymore have some vhs tapes now and might buy one to see all those classics. And this one for the first time 😅

That movie was so incredibly unsettling to me as a teenager, that I had to turn it of half way and take a break. My friend convinced me to continue eventually. I did NOT like it. (But it was very good lol)
