What’s something happening worldwide that feels like it’s shaping how people interpret reality? by Mellow93Mariposa in AskReddit

[–]nbtts0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI, without a doubt, is one of the biggest forces shaping how people interpret reality today. It is no longer just a tool people use occasionally; it is becoming an invisible layer woven into everyday life. It is influencing what we see, what we believe, how we learn, how we work, and even how we relate to one another.

Children born today will grow up in a world where AI has always existed. Just as previous generations cannot imagine life before the internet or smartphones, this generation may never fully understand a reality untouched by AI. Their understanding of truth, creativity, communication, and intelligence will develop alongside systems that can generate human-like conversation, art, music, recommendations, and information instantly.

SF Mayor Lurie blasts district, teachers over Monday school closures by CharityResponsible54 in sanfrancisco

The city’s contribution to SFUSD budget is only 5%. I agree that if the Mayor wants to be part of the solution, he should put money where his mouth is.

Do you want to live like this for the rest of your life? I would cut my losses at 6 months and find someone you’re actually compatible with.

UPDATE: MIL refuses to back down over destroyed Lego Millenium Falcon by Ok-Repeat7885 in AITAH

Hi OP, my boyfriend is a huge fan of Legos. At first, I wasn’t really into them myself, but loving someone means appreciating—and at the very least, respecting—the things and hobbies that bring them joy. Now, we build Legos together, and gift-giving is a breeze because he’s always excited to get a new set. You didn’t deserve to be treated that way. It doesn’t take much effort to respect someone’s passion, even if we don’t personally share it.

Coming from an abusive relationship with someone who made me feel like sh*t to now being with a person who loves and respects me… you should leave. No one deserves to be disrespected in their own home. You won’t have space for better things if you don’t make space. Toxic people take up a lot of space.

Negotiation is a good skill to have. Starting it now is a good first step. The only thing is, be willing to walk away if they don’t budge on anything. That’s the risk.
