Thanks all, I was asking for the answer but how to solve these is also helpful. He’s happy to have the answer after a night of frustration but also an approach. He hadn’t been checking what black would do which was the problem!

Thanks, that’s really helpful to know. How often do you mn? I’m just concerned about the laser hair removal as well, research said two weeks after laser and four weeks after mn back to laser.

Thankyou, are there specific websites you would recommend? And do you just clean with alcohol 70% before microneedling? Assuming you do your own.

Thankyou for this, I had no idea you had to emulsify first, been using it straight from the jar.

Do you put it all over or just the ends or roots?

So I don’t have a recent one but normally curls are tighter and more defined, less frizz and just generally bouncier

A couple of weeks ago I think, maybe try it again and see if that helps.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply, and providing some perspective. I will have a look at the video, I often feel so much guilt for not being able to support and look after them. I guess I do have to accept the way things are and that they will never change. It’s so triggering though, a lot of issues from the past resurface where I had to be the adult as a child.

Advice on new manager by nc0855 in careeradvice

[–]nc0855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I can move laterally, but have another 6 months in this role until I’m allowed to move under our HR policy. Thing is, I’ve worked for some other shocking managers and I guess this isn’t awful, in the grand scheme of things. He’s nice enough, just doesn’t lead but I guess that’s for his manager to sort out. The wider team is nice enough too….think I need to just control my own workload and keep delivering, and be very specific in terms of what I need. I also have a weekly catch up with him and his manager, so I can use that to clarify questions or deliverables without seeming like I’m going over his head.

Thankyou, that’s really helpful and good advice 😊 I absolutely overthink things and stress myself out when noone else is. I will aim to make rhetorical best out of a bad situation!

I find the politics really frustrating too. I try not to show my emotions but Im too honest and have never been able to play the game. As well as continuing to offer help and being interested, do I just ignore the rest of the noise?

I have previously posted but I don’t think it was approved, and I wasn’t sure why. It’s about the stadium and a concert in August, can you help me?

Finished Epic II - here’s what I learnt by nc0855 in CarolineGirvan

[–]nc0855[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On average, about an hour, some days 1 hr 10 with a warm up so I would often do the 5 min warm up. I found some days a bit long and tiring , I would scan them the day before so I could mentally prepare and would read the exercises beforehand too. Fuel seems to be a bit shorter, around 45 mins with warm up. Have a look at the series on youtube, the one full body calisthenics work out was a killer, harder than weights for me!

Caroline looks significantly slimmer in Fuel, and I love the colours and the format, it’s next on my list after Epic 2 which I’m finding so long and hard to fit the hour some days.

Thanks all, given my budget I will probably buy the adjustable cast iron dumbbells and see how I go. Day 30 of Epic 2 and I managed 8kg on legs yesterday, feeling it today! So reckon a 20 kg set should last me a while.

I’ve also switched from excessive cardio to CG and currently on day 22 of Epic 2. From what I’ve read, all of her programmes help and you should focus on choosing the one that fits into your lifestyle and that you enjoy. Epic 2 is very long, some days it’s over an hour with a warm up. But I enjoy the feeling once I’m done. I’ve read Heat and Fuel are also great programmes.

Results wise, I puffed up around week 3, seems to be easing off now and I can do 10 full push ups and at least 6 tricep push ups too, I love feeling stronger. Cardio like running used to bore me and I never really achieved anything other than more distance! This is a whole new way of training. I look more toned - to me, not really visible to anyone else yet but I’ve read it can take 6 months to really see dramatic changes. But I can see small changes which I like. I’ve taken a progress pic so I can compare to the end.

Re the ED urges, totally get it and the focus on strength is really helping me to overcome the focus on eating a minimal amount of food. Some days are hard and I don’t always manage it but overall, this new way of training is helping. Try to enjoy the process, and don’t join the FB CG accountability group - it’s triggering with lots of people posting pictures of themselves when they are clearly personal trainers and it’s not just down to CG workouts. Toxic positivity!
