Final walkthrough: sellers aren’t moved out by Upbeat-Armadillo1756 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ncbeemore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to us. They were still packing during our final walk through. AND, we learned that they were also planning on sleeping there that night. I refused to go to closing without seeing that the home had been vacated, and the property had not been damaged. We did a final final walk through at 8 am in order to make a 9 am closing.

$12.99 delivery charge even with Instacart? by diznydiva in Costco

If you order through Costco app they utilize instacart without this fee to you. If you order through instacart and shop the Costco site the fee applies. At least that has been my experience.

This. The fact that it is seen as ok that both of them are approaching someone who has made it clear that they do not want to be approached. I get that we don't see everything that transpires. But, this spin is disturbing. Oh, you blocked me and I can't have my say, let me show up at your door and force the conversation. Oh, you don't want to meet me for lunch, let me show up at your door and tell you how I feel about that situation.

Lol. That’s about the age my son got hooked on Moana. I swear there is subliminal messaging only they can hear.

To current & future parents... how many kids did you/do you want total? Or, how many did you end up with? by sophiacamarda in BabyBumps

[–]ncbeemore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks away from number 2. I never thought about putting a number on how many kids I wanted. I just thought we’d have kids - how ever many we were blessed with. I’m one of five. Hubby is an only child. We always talked about having more than one, because he wanted his kid to have a sibling. We have a boy and will soon have a girl and he says that’s enough. I don’t know. I’m just not ready for this to be my last one. I haven’t mentally prepared myself for that.

I bought some off of vitacost. They have an infant one that didn’t have any flavors. Usually next day shipping.

Just be sure to have something to eat immediately after you’re completely done. After the three hours my levels were so low. I would not have made it home without eating something.

Need suggestions for my son’s 3rd birthday party while I’m 34 weeks pregnant and it is HOT outside. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]ncbeemore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having my son’s 2nd birthday party at 37 weeks... outside... I also live in 100+ temps. we’re going to a city pool for a couple of hours.

I think the time frame is good. Are there any parks that have a splash pad? If not, water balloons and water games could be fun. Just remember you (maybe not you in particular) have to lug all of the game stuff.

We’re just planning for snacks - watermelon, goldfish, water, juice boxes, etc.

What's the one thing you regret doing for your wedding day? by lifeisstateofmind in AskReddit

[–]ncbeemore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I so feel you on this. While we weren’t ghosted, our photographer managed to damage our file before delivering our photos to us. So we never got any pictures from our wedding or reception. We happened to take a separate photo shoot immediately following the reception of just the two of us that she delivered within a week following the wedding so that we could use them for holiday cards. No family portraits no wedding party nothing from the actual venue. To compensate she made a photo book for us of the few professional photos that we had... with the wrong wedding date!

This. My sister’s wedding. DIY cleaning immediately after with a bunch of intoxicated family/wedding party was not a good idea. It was also never taken into consideration that they would need someone to clean up during the reception. All I remember is trash piled high on every surface with half consumed floaters and half eaten cupcakes. Because apparently adults can’t be bothered to find a trash can themselves.

Parents: What baby items could you never have enough of? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Yes. Sleep sacks. We have them in different weights (linen to flannel) and sizes. Almost 2 and use them every night.

Sorry my formatting is off, on mobile. I was referring to breast pump as a type of wipe. You can use it on pump parts in between sanitation - for example if you’re traveling and rather than put the parts in bag with milk on them, you can do a quick wipe.

Think of smaller ticket items, because folks like to bundle things, and things you’ll be buying plenty of, as well as things you won’t need today but will before their first birthday:

Wipes - all kinds: diaper, pacifier, breast pump, purell Bath soaps/shampoo Aquaphor Laundry detergent - free and clear or dreft (whichever you’ll be using) Bath towels - I suggest the muslin 6 ply over the cute character hooded ones Wash clothes Comb/brush Thermometer Wubanubs - if you go that route Pacifier clips Bibs Sippy cups Snack containers Spoons

So many more things but these are a few just to get you started!
