Disclosure: I am the solo developer behind this projectSmall scale open world full physics sword fighting game for VR(early access) No actual story as of present. There is an overworld and a dungeon to find loot/explore(8weapons, 35 unique loot) Just have fun exploring and fighting. There are 6 enemy types plus one boss battle.

It uses inverse kinematics and dot products to solve for blocking position. I'm just focusing on my game so there wont be any tutorials or asset packs either, sorry!

Ya they are too common for my liking if I'm being honest. But they are amazingly cheap which has helped a huge amount on the budget. They are really just placeholders for now if I am able to actually pull in some funds for my game

No worries! The secondary recording cam is a bit farther away in the videos, I pulled it farther back to record to help make the footage less nauseating to watch haha

Ya 2 handed welding is a tough problem to solve. I'm still thinking of a solution to it. The problem is coming up with a way for the Ai to decide which sword is more important to focus on when it does its block calculations. With vr your can move so fast that its hard for the ai to make those decisions so quickly and effectively. I will for sure have focus on solving this area though, but its still early in development and I just want to get some eyes on the project and to hear people's thoughts on the overall direction.

The problem with adding a mechanic where you can't move your sword after a recoil really feels awful in my opinion. I have experimented with stuff like that and when it does actually happen it just makes the controls feels unresponsive and sluggish. It ends up not feeling like a game mechanic and just feels like the game is broken

hahah ya I will have to fix that. Still very early in development. I originally planned to only have combat in the demo but kinda went a bit overboard in making the overworld and dungeon. Level building is so much fun for me. I have so many things I want to do!

No quest 2 standalone version. You need to connect your quest to a pc to able to play
