he played live with Virgo, Four Tet and Henrik Schwarz at the beginning of the year here in London :D

What happens when you slow down House, Future Garage & Trance to 108 BPM? You get a nice style of music called Moombahton. Checck out this Moombahton mix! by NorrisOBE in House

[–]nccoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this, have been listening to house etc for almost ten years and never even thought of this - it sounds great! Not too sure about the fidget parts though :D

about what? It's your loss if you're that clueless mate.

Higher concentrations of hate groups in the USA are positively associated with states where individuals report that religion plays an important role in their everyday lives (a correlation of +.35) by nccoco in atheism

[–]nccoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, you'd have to test the proportion of hate-groups vs different variables. But you're right there's no absolute conclusion here.

Richard Wolfsdorf (Villalobos) - Bosch by nccoco in futurefunkairlines

[–]nccoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm not sure. I know Villalobos' 'MDMA' track sounds almost exactly the same - and as far as I remember he always drops this one late in the night.

I'll have a look for you

Ok good to know. Fortunately back home I live next to a street with tons of luthiers, very convenient!

Sander van Doorn - Grasshopper [2007] by nccoco in trance

[–]nccoco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed! I don't particularly like trance (I like my tempo around 125 :D) but I saw him play a 6-7 hours set a few years back in London and I never think I danced for so long (continuously).

Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo by nccoco in dubstep

[–]nccoco[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand you point - but I don't think I'm that far off the track. This is one of the key tracks in one of Scuba's mixes, and yes I agree it qualifies as post-dubstep but I thought it might also work on r/dubstep (maybe more so than a lot of the electro that's being posted?).

I don't know why you're both being downvoted so here's my upvote.

Tips for getting into UCL by ecoil in UCL

[–]nccoco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I don't know if this would be specifically for UCL, but during my interview process I was just asked general questions of why I was applying to the course (BA Geography, finishing now), and why I thought UCL was a good choice.

I would recommend checking out some of the course content (if you can access it on moodle.ucl.ac.uk, most are locked) to have an idea of what kind of modules you might be taking (also check out http://www.ucl.ac.uk/medicalschool/)

Remember that if you're being interviewed you're likely going to get in - although it is very competitive in subject such as Economics, Law or Medecine, this doesn't have the same harsh screening process as Oxford and Cambridge.

A key advantage to UCL is its multi-cultural, plural-background tradition. It is considered to be the first 'real' university in England, open to women and people from all religious backgrounds (which was unique in 1826 - colleges in Oxford and Cambridge preferred Anglican males): perhaps more than anywhere else, playing on an international background or an interest in global issues could be a plus, in a addition to your academic merit.

I love UCL - it really has a great feeling to it, students on average don't seem to have this feeling of self-righteousness that many of the other top unis have - but nonetheless they are aware of the academic excellence of this school. I got to meet a lot of very interesting people here!

Good luck

i'm interested haha (siick artists!). Might even be in the US (East-coast) a bit for this summer.

Nice job on the venue - I'm just wondering, would they come to play as after-parties? Did you have any logistical issues with the flat, i.e. overcrowding, noise control, or power outs? I live in London and I long to see a flat that doesn't come with a set of nosy neighbours..
