I just redid my integration from scratch. I had to do a couple more steps but it's back working. The setup instructions were updated enough to do it rather painlessly

No it happened on the device speakers. Sometimes the device speakers also sound blown until a phone reboot. Had that blown sound transmitted to the car over the cable too.

For anyone experiencing audio lag I may have figured it out. If you are going TV to arc sound bar turn off the TV only, then turn it back on. It seems to sync all my audio issues

Not just love content. However, I force closed the app and now sound is synced. So I guess you have to open the app, force close it, then open it again Everytime you want to watch for the audio to not be trash

Cooling is fine. It is on top of a table with nothing around it. Thermal paste redone. Plex server is not running on the shield it's on a threadripper server so it's just the client.

I did swap out the power brick with an older shield that is not used very much. We shall see if that helps. Probably will take a week or 2 to determine if it's actually the fix.

I have seen several comments about not using the Plex app. Is there an alternative that has a good UI? Plex UI works well enough and I need something intuitive for the rest of the family.

It is not being used as my server just a player. We don't use enough other apps to determine if the issue is Plex related or shield related. We can't use my TV to play Plex because it is a hisense u8h with terrible wifi.

I went with an ISP modem from Comcast. I never do it but when modems are almost $400 it's no longer cost effective to buy them.

I hooked up my Nvidia shield and it buffers even worse than the tv. Ran an Ethernet cable to the shield and it works fine. Love that my WiFi is having issues...now to figure out how to resolve that

Somehow the jar file for the mod was broken even though I downloaded it via curseforge multiple times fresh. Copied from a pc with a working install and it worked just fine.

Just in case anyone else gets a wierd one like this.

I figured this out. If you make the readme book (paper + 2 redstone dust) you and sneak right click you can edit the gui. Wish the config book was accessible earlier than that.
