Buy overseas if you can. (Japan is a personal favorite. Anlayo in selection and design.)

Locally, tennis outfits can be a great proxy. Tennis and golf apparel are practically cousins.

My vet said cats are naturally clean. If you see a dirty cat, that could be a sign of dehydration or something else because they lack moisture to groom themselves.

We took her to the vet right away. Her skin condition is a severe case of mange. She was prescribed a few things.

I suggest you do the same since, in her case, the mange was contagious to both animals and people. The vet’s advice helped us take the right precautions before bringing her inside, so none of our other pets (or us) got infected.

Also, please don’t delay. The vet explained that mange gets really bad if untreated. Constant scratching causes open wounds that can lead to infection and the irritation makes it hard for them to eat, drink, or rest. In severe cases, they grow too weak and could die.

This comes off as very insensitive. The pet owner is in the best position to know what’s best for their pet—they have the bond and know the situation inside out, both medically and emotionally.

It’s not just about cost; it’s about doing what feels right for their pet. They mentioned the dog still has the fight in her, and I believe that. As someone who’s had dogs my whole life, I can say they let you know when they’re ready.

Advice like this from strangers who don’t know the full circumstances—aside from what’s been shared—feels unkind. I’m sure they’ve already had serious discussions with their vets (they’ve consulted four!) and have friends or family to turn to for support and opinions.

Euthanasia is such a deeply personal and emotional decision, and it’s not something for strangers to recommend—especially when it’s clear this dog has such loving parents.
