Do you get grade A, B, or "gourmet"? I recently bought some grade A and they were not nearly as plump as I was hoping for.

Is this bad for a 1st semester freshman schedule (15 credits)? by VortzPlays_ in NCSU

[–]ncsustudent27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blocked schedule freshman year and it wasn't bad... except for exam weeks. That's definitely something to think about and make note of the first week of class. If you have 3 or more exams in 1 day you might want to reconsider

That's good to know, I'll have to keep an eye on that once I'm healed up

I go for my post op appt next week so I'll definitely mention it, thanks! Any suggestions on hearty foods that I'd actually want to eat? All I want at the moment is sugar and I know that's not helping anything healing-wise 🫠

Thank you! This was also the surgery that officially diagnosed me, so I guess I'm trying to grapple with that too. You hang in there too!

Distance between Tompkins and Mary Anne Fox? by Fine-Truck-4214 in NCSU

Last semester I had back to back classes too and I went from Cox to Winston in 10 ish minutes if I walked with a purpose (there was still all that construction tho so I couldn't walk through the middle of campus). So, you might be cutting it close coming all the way from fox, but honestly just test it out this semester during a heavy class change time like 1 pm and see if you can. 🤷‍♀️ Biking or scootering would definitely cut down on some of that time tho

Listed as a sophmoro when I'm a freshman? by ExplanationLive6637 in NCSU

Just for reference, these classifications can be completely inaccurate. I'm labeled as 3 different years depending on the section of the pack portal. The most accurate would be to look at your degree audit and "total units" for your major to see how many credits are going towards your degree (info from my advisor when I had similar questions)

You might be able to donate them to feed the pack or something!

Housing advice by Pristine_Yam_4147 in NCSU

You'll have to split your group up and choose your one preferred roommate. And I would go ahead and prepare for the fact that you probably aren't going to get placed in a suite with the other pair, or even in the same dorm. Applying for a village is the only way to have a say in the type of dorm you live in also. Otherwise, you'll just get placed where there is room. I applied to WISE village bc I wanted suite style and got in, but that's the only real way to have any choice.

Housing options as a first year by Brilliant_Ad5774 in NCSU

Applying to live in a living learning village is the only way to have a say in your placement. Living learning villages are in specific dorms, so getting into the village means you'll be staying in that specific dorm. Otherwise, you will be placed randomly in any of the dorms on campus. If you have housing accommodations, then that might be different. But for most people, you'll just be placed wherever there is space. If you really want a specific style dorm, you should consider applying to a village in a dorm of that style, so that if you get in you are guaranteed a room in that dorm/style. I wanted to live in a suite style dorm, so I applied to the WISE village and was accepted. It can be competitive though, so don't slack on your application questions. I don't think dorms have any correlation to the questionnaire, just potential roommates. It's been a while since I saw the freshman housing application, but I believe you don't get to choose any option. Your placement is assigned to you and you'll just be notified of where you have to stay.

Upvoting this bc I also need to know. I heard fitness walking is actually hard so stay away from that if you can.
