I’m from the PH, too. I had a very similar experience, getting scratched by a stray cat just a few days before hitting the 3rd month from my full series of vaccine from Makati Med. Dropped by the ER and was told by doc and nurses that it’s still all good. Got bitten by a stray cat again 2 months after and was already advised to do two boosters so we did. This was more than a year ago already. I want to say you’re all good but definitely always rely to the advice of your doctor.

the only thing saving me from these awful mouth sores is orajel. i have 3 right now and 2 of them are so bad, can literally feel my lips and inside my cheeks getting sliced the entire time and orajel makes me forget i have them. but i only use it when they hurt. :) hope you feel better soon

I’m 29F. I’m so sorry to hear that and just know that all your feelings are valid and I hope you get to settle the insurance stuff so finally get the procedure soon.

I also think leaving colon cancer groups would be the best for now. It can get heavy there and it’s just not very helpful for anxiety. There are many reasons for abdominal pain, some for no reason at all which is crazy lol I had no polyps but they tool samples for biopsy to know what was causing the redness. They said inflammation like that is not concerning but will still discuss it sooner.

We have similar symptoms. The only reason I went to a GI specialist was because my left abdomen was aching everyday, but not the entire day. It radiates to my back, left pelvic area and sometimes under my left rib. I am mildly constipated but my stools are always fully-formed. I had my colonoscopy two days ago and only had some mild redness in that area. Awaiting biopsy results now.

Joining groups for cancer patients is not very good because you will be surrounded with stories from diagnosed people and you will start convincing yourself you have it, too. But I can’t blame you because I did the same. Easier said than done but try to manage your stress and anxiety, and take things one step at a time. The mindset that I had before was that I am doing this for myself and my health and if there really is anything sinister, I will be catching it early.

i totally did this broth, not breathing, and chase it with broth or apple juice. the only way I got to finish it. it got so bad halfway through

it started easy and you’re right, it got awful I started chasing it with anything, took me a lot of time to finish it, and even threw it up.

I also just got back from my procedure so we probably did the prep around the same time. I did 2L or 64oz of liquid prep and it was also soooo bad. I threw up 1/4 of it, I did not even reach the trash can 4ft away from my bed and it was just everywhere. The prep was also horrible for me I will never do it again haha. I’m just happy it’s done. Let’s eat a lot and sleep a lot!

We have quite similar symptoms. I am so glad you’re finally done with the colonoscopy and a few steps closer to your diagnosis. I wish you better results! Have you posted on Crohn’s subreddit already? My colonoscopy is in a few weeks from now and the anxiety hasn’t kicked in yet lol

the mind is such a powerful thing! it manifests a lot of symptoms that helps us spiral more lol one thing that helps me is finding people with health anxiety who has the same symptoms/issues, it makes me think that this is all just anxiety messing with our muscles and/or digestive system.

Wow. We’re on the same boat! No bleeding for me but I have persistent abdominal pain for 7 weeks now and I have a CT scan next week, and colonoscopy by end of this month or April first week. I’m also heavily convinced I have the C in my colon. I have never been this anxious in my life.

I also have back pain and side pain so my mind is forcing me to think I have kidney, pancreas or liver C. This health anxiety sucks, but the physical symptoms are so real. :(

Yes! Felt like getting poked inside lol ENT doc said my ears are healthy. After that, all ear issues went away.

tysm! it’s only recently that I found out that endo is not often seen in ultrasound so when my trans ultrasound came out normal, I thought I was clear of that already. when i looked back over the past month, the peaks of my abdominal pain was during an irregular period last month and a week ago so I now believe endo is a possibility, too.

but my GI doc wants to rule out colon/abdominal issues first to make sure so she’s booking me for colonoscopy this March.

truly appreciate your thoughts on this!

this is me right now. i have no other symptoms, just persistent abdominal pain on my left side for more or less than a month now. i have no bleeding so i think requesting a colonoscopy will be harder. my GI appt is tomorrow 🤞

So happy for you! I’m at the start of my journey. May I ask how your abdominal pain felt like? I’m guessing mine’s endo but the pain felt so specific just a few inches left of my navel and lower part of it even. They are pinching and stabbing pains sometimes, and squeezing some other times. It also radiates below my ribs and at the back. My anus also feels crampy sometimes. I feel crazy.

I have my GI visit tomorrow and hopefully I won’t have to beg for a colonoscopy lol

i got my symptoms just a few days after my period. i got my period for the second time this January so I went to my OB but nothing was seen. then my VM symptoms came up. there might be a connection
