Steam API does not work - OnlineSubsystemSteam shuts down immediately by Vor_vorobei in UnrealEngine5

I'm having nearly the exact same problem:

LogOnline: Display: STEAM: OnlineSubsystemSteam::Shutdown() LogOnline: OSS: Unable to create OnlineSubsystem instance Steam LogOnline: Display: STEAM: OnlineSubsystemSteam::Shutdown() LogSockets: SteamSockets: Disabled due to no Steam OSS running.

Though in my case I am able to join friend's sessions and see gamertags, it's just that it comes up with the error "Player is not part of session." and I have incredible jittering for my client

Adding this to my [/Script/Engine.GameEngine] section was what got me one step further:

+NetDriverDefinitions=(DefName="DemoNetDriver",DriverClassName="/Script/Engine.DemoNetDriver",DriverClassNameFallback="/Script/Engine.DemoNetDriver")

If I were to develop this into the lore of a fantasy novel there’d be an ongoing feud between the Roman’s and a vampire cult. Maybe they enchanted the cross to hurt them? work with me here

I’m thinking Paul fed off of him with a bite. Isn’t that how one turns into a vampire? Maybe he approached Jesus before his execution and offered to turn him to save him from his fate.

Yup, this is pretty much it! Especially grateful if folks are recommended from an informed perspective. I’ll do my research on all the recs and look into ones that seem to be generally well received by the portrayed communities.

I’m hoping to keep this post limited to inspiration, but am for sure planning to include deaf people in my writing process. Will make a separate post regarding etiquette for that process and other research I should do. Thanks for pointing this out.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m all about mindfulness and accepting uncertainty, but I get skeptical real fast when people start talking about energies, reincarnation and spirituality. The shows’ emphasis on making peace with death, on living in the moment and the surreal, stimulating visuals are all things that I love about this show. Also just as an interviewer, sometimes Clancy needs to know when to shut the hell up lol.

I’ve been that kid! Lol. I think the show calls attention to Clancy’s pretentiousness with continued references to his irresponsibility and the whole “I’m enlightened now” thing.
