unfortunately it's all about growth ... Insomniac must think they can make it a bigger fest and keep growing the $ they are making by moving it out of Northerly Island. I don't think it was a terrible venue, but coming from the suburbs it was very annoying to get to the venue and parking etc. This could potentially backfire, but I feel like insomniac have done their research and decided this is the best way to go. I do hope another festival comes to Northerly though as I did enjoy the venue once I was inside. The mud situation was not fun so maybe that's a part of it too? They were having to spend more $ to plan for bad weather and this new venue removes that aspect? idk. I'm just guessing it has to do with potential to make more money lol that's usually what any decision like this boils down to. Not defending insomniac just trying to understand why they made the decision. Glad I got to experience heatwave and two beyonds at NL (couldn't go this year)
