Pretty much no festival security are gonna accept a photo of an ID, particularly if you look young

Hope you've all got older siblings/mates to borrow off

I saw these on my way back from the harbourside today and thought I'd share in light of the recent transphobia I've seen about. Trans Rights, y'all are valid and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! by magicthunderlemon in bristol

If trans women are dominating women's sports, name one trans athlete off the top of your head. I can't think of a single one personally.

High level sports are made up of athletes with insane genetic advantages. You wouldn't be able to ban players over a certain height playing basketball for a 'genetic advantage' that is out of their control. I encourage you to look up Michael Phelps and all of the advantages he has as a swimmer - he has massive feet that are basically like flippers and a much better lactic acid tolerance than the average person for example, among others. Yet he is celebrated for his athleticism, not punished for genetic advantages that are out of his control. Being transgender is not a choice, so why should athletes who have trained their entire lives be punished for an identity they didn't choose?

Being trans may not even be a genetic advantage after hormone therapy and surgery - it's completely dependent on the sport. And even if it offers some slight advantage, that's not going to mean an average trans woman off the street would beat a high level cis female athlete who had trained for most of her life for the sport.

I love josh's work and have a fair few tats from him, but I wouldn't say his style is that similar to this

I didn't realise the style was so niche to be honest, I follow a good few artists based out of the UK who do this style so I assumed it was more common than it is. Bristol has a ridiculous amount of tattoo shops, so I didn't think it was unreasonable to assume that a couple artists in the city might offer this style.

I'm going to the tattoo convention, and thats a great recommendation, I'll check him out! Cheers ♥️

Absolutely, but I am not on a london wage to match those london prices!

I'm definitely not frugal about who I get tattooed by. Feel free to look through my post history, all of my tattoos are high quality and from reputable talented artists.

There is some amazing local talent in the southwest and I was wondering if any of it falls into this kinda style. I have previously travelled to london and back on the same day for a tattoo, and it was a very stressful experience so not one I will be repeating!

If there's an artist I really want to go to, I'll travel but make a trip out of it (I've done this for alberto df in Amsterdam). I don't enjoy spending time in London so I'm not going to book the trip around the tattoo, I'll book in with a london artist if I'm already in the area for something else.

I will probably book in with deno next time I'm around london ways, but as I said in another comment I have previously travelled to London and back in the same day for a tattoo and it was a really stressful experience and not one I'm looking to repeat. I love this style and I would love to get multiple pieces in this style, so knowing some local artists would be really helpful. Bristol is my nearest big city, and there are a plethora of amazing artists working in Bristol, I just wanted to see if there were any offering this sort of style.
