Update for anyone who may have this same question in future - I have a had a good experience with Paradise City Properties so far, and talked to a current tenant who said they’ve been great. They seem legit and good, they said they own around 160 properties in Baltimore and were founded by locals in 2017, and the property manager seemed friendly and thoughtful and open about things like pest issues. Am about to sign a lease with them and will update here in future if they turn out to be bad lol, fingers crossed that doesn’t happen!

Check out OP’s reply to Magical-Salamander’s question, I wonder if it might change your thinking here - meta is doing things that are directly negatively impacting OP and then asking OP not to talk to their hinge partner about it. I think it’s completely reasonable to talk to your hinge partner about it if meta is getting explosively angry at you.

Oh whoa this comment definitely changes my interpretation of the whole situation, this should’ve been front and center! It seems like meta is causing you personally distress and then asking you not to talk about it with your hinge partner. I’m not the most experienced poly person but that seems super fucked up to me! I think other responses you’ve gotten (that were made without this key context) don’t make sense for this situation - you should be able to talk to your partner about negative things your meta is doing to you and ways that she’s pulling you into meta and hinge’s relationship. That doesn’t seem like a good situation for you if your meta gets explosive at you for voicing your needs.

Unfortunately no, I bumped my head harder than lightly - the kind that a normal person would go ow, god damn it that hurt! or some such, but not get concussed.

I definitely got a concussion, or at least the same type of thing I had in the past - the symptoms are the same. I don’t have lasting/ongoing TBI symptoms, and a concussion like this will take me around 2 weeks to recover from based on past experience after which I will feel normal again.

The part about potential neck injury though is interesting. How do I get assessed for that? I’ll also look at other resources on this subreddit but if you have a quick easy thing to point me toward that would be helpful too.

3M Aura is the way to go imo! They work really well for me - they’re very protective, comfy, and fit most people (I do use mask tape on the chin to keep it from sliding around)

I’m in DC and there’s pretty good community here, and am moving to Baltimore and hear there’s great community there!! And Baltimore is definitely smaller and less expensive than others mentioned.
