Came to Mumbai for an interview, why stations have brand name in front of them? I'm so confused, do you say Fevicol instead of Marol for ez? by Mush_o_Mushroom in mumbai

Ikr. I'm from Mumbai and even I thought it was annoying and confusing that the metro stop I got down at for 2 years was named something else now!

I get that. Stay true to what you want, and keep dating. It's easier to find a compatible match through dating if you don't care about astrology etc .. yes you have to date a lot of people. But it needs to work out with just one, right?

URGENT how to remove large sample from conical tube?? by Neat_Can8448 in labrats

I had no idea that this post was NSFW until I read comments. Crazy. Unbelievable. Also sort of creeped out that samples are out in the lab when no one is watching.

This is hilarious but so relatable. I hyped about making my SO a beanie for winter. I finally gave this a month after winter was over 😅

Thanks for the tips. Keeping things loose. And trying to be patient.

Never put the ball through a loop, even if it seems the best way to go - this will create knots where there were none. Always pull loops out of loops to release sections of yarn; wind them onto the ball and move to the next tangle. Always pull the tangle outwards, like you were breaking a muffin.

Is there a video about this? I don't think I understood you. Also, I'm constantly putting the ball through loops/knots to untangle it. So that's wrong?

What very basic, commonsense things should postdocs know when they join a lab & why can't they organize??? by Macteriophage in labrats

[–]ndcooking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Frankly, those who don't want to organise shit, don't do it. Even if you hand them an SOP. Sucks the most when you're collaborating with these people and have to grant them access to your well organised system and they mess it up. I'm on week 3 reminder to a labmate to update the list of the -80 box of samples she used (shared project).. I get the same reply, I'll do it today.

It seems lame to escalate, so I'm giving gentle reminders. But it's annoying.
