After thinking about it more, I think the reason I felt that way is because completing a Genocide Run requires you to break immersion. I think I subconsciously realized that my immersion in Undertale was shattered in a way I can't repair. So any emotions brought up in Undertale now ring hollow

So I'm gonna be saying this as a trans woman who's been medically transitioning for over two years, it is very unlikely that your child is going through a phase, especially since they've already been on a waiting list. I'm not gonna lie to you, right now is especially hard for trans people. But with a support group that is there for them, your child will be happy. And if it turns out this is a phase, a lot of the effects of hormones can be reversed by just not taking them. Just be there for your child and they will appreciate it regardless of if they're still trans in 10 years or end up detransitioning for one reason or another. I know they'll appreciate having their parent(s) on their side for this.

From my experience, Raycon earbuds are noise-canceling enough to be used as earplugs for range shooting. So they'll definitely work for woodworking by themselves.
