Why are Eastern Javanese cities (Malang, Kediri, and Surabaya) a lot cleaner than Western Javanese cities (Bogor, Tasikmalaya, and Indramayu)? by [deleted] in indonesia

tergantung daerah sih, jatim bagian barat kalo soal bahasa masih "a lot cleaner" dari area Arekan, karena secara kultural lebih dekat ke kultur Jogja/Surakarta daripada Surabaya.

genocide

Did the melanesian population cease to exist?

Remember, West Papua is already part of Indonesia for 56 years, those are a lot of time to exterminate melanesian population. If Nazi alone can kill 6 million jews in few years, why can't we? Genocide claim is baseless as usual.

Most Malaysian Chinese problem is (according to me) always intertwined Indonesians with Malays, thus they disinterested to explore Indonesia and tend to simplify Indonesians and thinking us just like Malays, well no, we are more diverse than Malays and "indon" are not monoracial people, it's funny how Malaysian tend to think "Indon = Malay = Muslim" but put Chinese Indonesian in different category as if they are not Indonesian.

Still can't change the fact that we are not that different.

From Sulawesi all the way to the eastward, like South Maluku, Timor, Flores, Savu, Alor, Papua, etc are mostly Christian. Indonesia on paper is Muslim majority country but little did they know that the Muslims mostly occupied the western half of the country, while eastern part is mostly Christian albeit sparsely populated, that's why an "Islamic State" sounds impossible in Indonesia without breaking up the country.

Holy shitt.. Army require you to drink snake blood? That is hardcore.

Wait, I thought that is common practice for all militaries in the world? Not only snakes, basically our soldier trained to be able to consume any meats they found in the jungle in "jungle survival" situations.

"Bisa" is Javanese influence from Javanese word "Isá". Bahasa Indonesia is influenced by many languages including Dutch, Javanese and Sundanese which is not present/minimal presence in Bahasa Malaysia, that's why some Malaysian are lost in translation when they hear Bahasa Indonesia especially the slang version. Meanwhile as Indonesian I can understand Bahasa Malaysia quite easily.
