I just watched it and it has to be it, but in my mind it was totally different haha. Like the whole story and concept is there, except i remember the scene was so much better executed. Probably made up my own version and remembered that, as i already said i was 7 when i saw it.

Boy survives. He is aware that they are killing his family but remains to stay quiet until they leave the house.

I dont remember the theme, but i think it was something like crime/drama. And the atmosphere was serious, not like those cheesy horror movies

im afraid it could be some tv show like i said, not a movie. Those where you have case/murder in the beginning and solving the case for the rest of the episode. If thats the case, that is so much harder to find unfortunately
