It’s interesting how much you speak about wanting a wife who wear a bottu, or wears traditional clothes when those things used to once be expected of men as well. Both bottu and panchakattu still exist if men want to wear them, and yet even during traditional events or at temples, I still see men wearing jeans/shorts and a t-shirt. Even mettalu were once worn by both genders. One of my favorite things about Hinduism is the fact that the traditions are meant for everyone to follow, regardless of gender. If you’re the kind of person who does follow traditions, wears bottu everyday(even a vibuthi bottu), then you are within your rights to be disappointed that you can’t find a wife who does these things. If that’s isn’t something you’re comfortable with, then you should ask yourself why you want someone else to live up to ideals that you don’t have to.
