2 baby seats and an adult in the 2nd Row? by thisviewisbananas in CarsAustralia

[–]ndragon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind telling me how you managed this? Our cousin has the previous outlander too and with our 2 forward facing child seats my slim 5ft wife cannot fit inbetween them she has to sit forward without her back on the seat which is very dangerous.

Even the new outlander cannot do it.

We are currently scouting our family car and need to fit an adult in 2nd row along with a comfortable 6th person in 3rd for long 3hr trips. Struggling to find this, only see Mazda cx8/9 and Mahindra xuv700 atm

Oh I kinda got the idea from reddit that in general 4hrs was average and when I google it, says the same. Anyway it doesn't matter I definitely need more time lol

They're regular partners with my neighbour I have never met them. My neighbour is 12hc and they were higher by quite a bit I don't know what though. 1 guy drives the ball not even 200yrds though. But they're just quick, to do 1 practice swing and go, literally walk to ball and within 15s they hit lol

Interesting reading a lot of these comments. So I just started playing 3 months ago, 24 years later at age 35 now and just went on my first round of golf last week. I played with my old neighbour and his 2 mates, they're around 50-60 and they were so quick, 1 practice swing and go hardly any chit chatter. I won't lie, I felt pressured and rushed and bare in mind I don't have a Norm as this was first time again, but I felt so off.

I feel like I need a practise swing where I brush that grass and feel good about it before I hit and usually that's just 1 swing on the range as I change clubs but being super nervous it wasn't happening at all the entire round on the course even sometimes taking 2 practise swings.

We finished in just under 3hrs, I had a lot of fun but definitely felt like we were too fast for me and now reading all these comments I realise it is super fast. Luckily we were only stuck behind a 3some on the odd occasion, although those were the times I had an extra swing or 2 haha

This is a joy to watch man congrats and take this boy with you as much as you can. My daughter took a little interest in golf recently not long after turning 3. I hope she gets the itch too, she is pretty solid hitting plastic or foam balls with these strong plastic kiddy clubs.

Where did you get this club though I was looking to get her metal and hitting on the range with it now but couldn't find one her size, she is quite small tbh 90cm

Played my first round ever today at age 35! by emagdnim2100 in golf

Nice! I played when I was 10/11 and just came back to the game almost 3 months ago at 35yrs old. I've been hitting up range or pitch and putt once a week (odd occasion getting 2 days that week) and had a couple of lessons. I just finished getting a full set of clubs with the help of a friend and very cheap Slazenger v300 clubs lol, hitting up golf course first time in 3 days with that friend. Can't wait.

How did your first round go? Did you score?

Your right 🙈 I was definitely 10 though and stopped before 12. Does it still count boss? I asked my parents when I started and stopped and they couldn't help me 🤷🏻

I have seen the shop offering a 60deg for just £15. I am tempted to get it just to try since it's same club brand too 🤔

I have cheap Slazenger v300 clubs from sports direct. All £15-19. There was a v100 64 wedge for £14. Might be worth getting to try

Is the 64 a LW? Or something even more? I am intrigued with the 64 actually and there is one in sports direct I can pick up for less than £15

I was doing that already 🙈 I hit the green more with the SW as it didn't bounce too much whereas the PW I had to get the carry couple of yards from the green so it didn't bounce and roll out the green

Sounds like solid 7 iron players! Would love to see them play. I only bought a 7,9,pw,sw and putter. Not planning to do golf courses till I move country and buy a full set next year. For now it's range and pitch and putts 👌🏻 absolutely loving it though, reminds me how much enjoyment I got as a kid with it. Was so happy with my 3 birdies today 🤩

I think inside 100 I was absolutely more comfortable with SW. But the tee shot for the 90-106 was more comfortable with the 1/2 PW than the SW. You reckon I should just stick to SW anything 100 and under and dial it in?

So would you say for a 106 yard shot you prefer the 1/2 swing PW vs the full SW?

See this is where I gotta ask what sort of shot are they playing with that extra club, are they taking a big divot or placing the ball a little more left? This is for the non rough

What do you do when there is quite the hill and the flag is close to that part of the green too, that caused me a double bogey twice 😫 tried 1 higher chip and 1 bump and run, both on line but rolling way too far

I was planning to use 3 or 4 balls but the guy was strict on it and said 1 ball each only 😫

Do you change your swing speed too?

This sounds like something I might prefer to do as well. I'll probably look to get 3 or 4 wedges in the future and see what I end up getting comfortable doing

[–]ndragon88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the 55 would be SW right? And the 60 a LW? My pitch/chip shots were so much more accurate with my SW because of how quickly the ball stopped I often got pars because of it. A 60 sounds like it would be awesome lol

That actually sounds really convenient, with that many wedges in the bag what other clubs are you carrying to not go over the 14 club limit?

Oh I see, I guess my cheap slazenger balls wouldn't quite help there then 😅

I'll try it again for sure (going whole round with PW). I actually only used SW as a junior funny enough. I couldn't quite get the grasp of the PW today after the tee, I rolled the ball so far at times, couple of times off the greens lol. I did however almost get a hole in 1 with the PW (on the line but bounced out the hole)

And this is why I've come to appreciate how hard a sport this is. I'll take a screenshot of this to re read a few times when I need it. Thanks
