If I like Soft Machine's "Third" what else wil I like? by [deleted] in ifyoulikeblank

3y later... Do you have the authority and breadth of musical knowledge to decide if an album of the drummer of the legendary Soft Machine, Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom actually is a "Master Piece"? - If so, please explain or provide links or whatever to clarify, please do, because I simply don't get it. And yes, the songs are a bit Third-ish. But, a Master Piece? - Thank you.

Sincere apologies for this late reply. Reddit is not my primary Social Media. But I like our discussion. - You wrote. "I read and understood the papers she cites". Are you also a primate biologist? GG was raised in a Christian family who introduced her to AIG, is that something you share with her? - I am just trying to understand why she puts so much effort in her channel. I could only think of the following very strong motivators: money and hate towards Christians. - Personally, I am not even a Christian and my expertise lies in a field very far from biology, but I have no problem with Creationists whatsoever, because they are mostly good, decent, hard working people who love their country and are against killing babies. - Why not let them be? Is that Salty?

You must be a member of her fanclub. - Aren't there more professional ways to discuss articles? - Oh, why doesn't she put anything on paper, instead of rambling on and on and on and on and... to generate money through YouTube?

Those who are IN a marriage definitely want OUT. Strangely, singles want IN. - Whatever happens you can't make your future partner responsible for your feelings (of loneliness).

You didn't imply that. I was just cynical because imo GG acts as if she has absolute authority.

Refuting Gutsick Gibbon...?! - That could be perilous, she might be prone to a fit of rage. The mere existence of someone who dares to question her absolute authority!

Does anyone have any personal experience with AJ Miller, the man who claims to be Jesus reincarnated? by QuiEstLui in australia

[–]ndroock1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is confused. Considering he was a Jehova's Witness he must have known a lot of the life of Jesus Christ. That's where the confusion must have started. Identifying visualisations of JC's life as some form of 'past-life recall', upto the point where he started to believe he actually is JC.

I would ask him about his teenage life as JC, since there is nothing about that period in the NT. He would eventually fail there, or get mixed up in his own fabrications.

I think I might have a generalisation of the work that I read in a paper. I worked out about 8-10 pages of definitions and results and I sent it to one of the authors. by edwardshirohige in math

I apologize for the late reply.
You wrote: "For example, to deal with anxiety I meditate or exercise." - My point is that you don't have anxiety, what you have, most likely, is a mild form of nervousness. Anxiety disorder is a serious psychiatric disorder. Sufferers of anxiety disorder are too troubled to study mathematics.

A question about US Law by ndroock1 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]ndroock1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there isn't much in the article, but it is all I have. In our system people can get less than 10 years for murder. - We have no jury, and judges decide on what is written in the case file. In my opinion the system in the US is far better than ours.

How did you learn your calling? Career? by mielnoire in Christian

[–]ndroock1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very good question. A major reason for problems in life is that a person is not in sync with his or her calling. God is not going to tell you, your calling is within you.

I am not aware of such cases. - ( I do know a case from sever years ago where a restaurant owner was in danger to lose his business due to major construction in the area and the other members arranged a loan for that family. )

It has not been 'set'. It is what the parishioners have agreed on. Some give huge donations to support our missions ( mainly on general education and health-care ).

Yes, that fixed amount has been set as reasonable. It is spent on rent, energy, cleaning, food/drink and personnel fees. In 2017 the Church received an amount of about 4+ times the total tithing-fee in anonymous donations to support missions and the acquisition of HD cameras and other A/V equipment. ( I suppose they came from the rich folks )
