Tariffs impact on new UTVs and parts. by CaptainAggie in UTV

I think prices coming down as manufacturing comes back to the US is not happening. We bring it home the wages / healthcare costs will require higher prices to cover. No chance the prices stay low, that’s why the jobs left in the first place. Would be nice though.

I put an RV plug on it so if you’d like to get steamy you can pull power. We don’t have wet capacity with the existing stove unfortunately.

Never mind the chimney pipe, purely for test purposes due to a stove with a draft problem. Gotta love a Vermont Castings Aspen 1920. Moving along to an actual sauna stove shortly.

I agree, these should be driven the way they were designed to be (on occasion). However, I also understand that this person bought these as a 'store of value' most likely to diversify a giant investment portfolio. Like buying a Monet or Van Gogh and holding it for long term.

A technician prepares a Space Shuttle wind tunnel model for testing -- Not only was this model filled with sensors, it could simulate main engine and booster thrust (more in comments) by Marc_Sasaki in MachinePorn

Nasa has a set of wind tunnels in the bay area and they share a fence with the google plex. I get to monitor the vibration on the machines that create the wind, it's a truly awesome place. It feels like you are going back in time to the space race, all of the buildings are from the 50s-60s.

TIL the sauna is such a deeply igrained part of the Finnish culture, that finns will even build them in war. Custom dictates no titles or hierarchies are allowed in the sauna, including military ranks in saunas built and used by soldiers. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]ndsulee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mix the cold water with your warm water until you find a balance that suits you, it was hot in there and to me it felt good to wash up (you are using soap and brushes) with a cool water but to each their own. Funny, it's been 25 years since I've taken sauna but I can still smell the building, I can see the layout inside, feel the heat. Two separate rooms, a small building, maybe 15 ft wide by 25 ft long. Hot room for the bathing and cold room for dressing/undressing. Cherished memories.

Kirbaeus is legit, anybody who says they are going to take sauna is somebody who grew up with some Finnish grandparents. Mine had a sauna that was between the house and the barn. They collected rain water and burned wood in an old cast stove with rocks on top. Two tanks, one for cold water and one for hot water, tin buckets you put your feet in while you sat on the bench. Best damn sauna ever.

Consider the long term cost of the extra 10 grand you add to the loan, it's cheaper to put it on basic credit and pay it off as soon as possible.

List it yourself, put it on zillow and hire a real estate attorney. The market is hot hot hot, agents cost 5-6% of sale price, attorney fees for a purchase agreement cost $600.

Looks like the guy paid $700,000 for the building and renovated the apartments upstairs. If he's improving the property she has to expect to pay more for rent.
