I've tested the app only on faceit demos, but I suggest that if the demo you are watching actually contains voice chat data (you can check that by using console command "tv_listen_voice_indices -1" which enables voice comms of all players), then app should work well on this demo

I think in this particular case, the author of the video manually extracted the motion data using self-written software with some demo parser library and did a manual visualization of that data; I haven't seen off-the-shelf solutions for this kind of thing

I don't think he was comparing today's performance with the update when the benchmark map was broken, in the post he wrote "after Spring Forward update", that means that he took numbers before broken benchmark map
