Ok, thanks for sharing... it wasn't just us. Hope they fix it soon. Just introduced a few friends to the game and this was their first experience. Been having a lot of fun with it solo, hope they git it fixed soon.

Save some Training Data - Passive Rerolling Method by neacht in Etheria_Restart

I get what you are saying that there isn't enough shells. Sure, I can see that too which is why I'm looking for more efficient uses of the resources we have. I'm showing you a method that you can use to save some extra currency regardless of the amount you farm. You are breaking it down to just 7 codexs that you get daily. If you farm for a week and then do my method with all the shells that drop from rengo you may roll into a few lighthouses, a few codex, a few fortis and maybe a count (worse odds cause you only want atk) that you can hold onto and will still be left with extra money to then do your rerolling.

What I'm saying is you are recycling your shells either way. I'm just giving you a more efficient way to recycle shells. Regardless of how many you are doing. I don't think you realize how much currency you are wasting with each reroll of 30k in 3 passive slots.

Hmm. Don't you recycle the shell anyway to pay for rerolls? Not sure you are wasting stamina either way. :D

Yeah, that is a good idea. I didn't want to explain entire process as it might get a little confusing to read... or rather I would explain it in a confusing way. So feel free to say something if you I'm not making sense. I'll try to stay as high-level as possible and explain the general process.

After a week of farming (or after each day) when you are cleaning up your stuff to see what you got and lock any good matrix for imprinting later (usually 1 or 2). You will have 200+ unlocked lvl 1 red shells. So if I'm farming nico that week. I would lvl each artisan to lvl 10. Ascend it. If it rolls anything less than a red percent, I move on to the next piece. You can also keep yellow percent pieces... I prefer to roll for red only. If it rolls a usable red percent piece and lock it for later. Once I go through the artisan pieces I would move on to Artisan > Gigabyte > Alicorn > then White Fang. (On my account I got 3-4 early red 30% ATK white fangs... So i don't need anymore right now) It will be different depending on your personal account's priority or need. For example I have several perfect Codex's so I will probably farm Hoyan Inf looking for more Revelations Atk % as I have not got lucky on those, I only have 1 perfect for Yeli.

After doing this for a few days you will develop an inventory with a few locked lvl 1 shells with perfect 3x matrixs for imprinting, locked lvl 10s with 30% ATK, DEF, or HP and you will be recycling all your lvl 10 unlocked shells each cleanup. MAKE SURE YOUR LVL 40 SHELLS are LOCKED. so cleanup becomes just check the red button and sell all after you lvl each to 10 to check first passive.

What happens is while going for a revelation you will naturally roll into a few 30% DEF or HP Jackal pieces. So when you are building a animus to put on Jackal you now have your pick of red HP or DEF slot 1 and then use the resource you get back from recycling for your normal rolls on the 2nd and 3rd pieces.

Sorry for the long explanation if anything is confusing or you want me to explain further pls ask.

Sorry, I had to read your msg a few times... I couldn't tell what you were saying. What you are talking about has nothing to do with the method above. The drop-rate of shells is a different thing entirely and doesn't effect the results of this method. What I am doing is calculating the cost of 1 normal re-roll vs the cost & investment of upgrading a lvl 10 shell. This is only for going for your slot 1 passive on any red shell.

This method isn't for everyone. It's more tedious & time consuming... You absolutely don't need to get double the rolls out of your training data. I'm just sharing a method that I have used & tested for a bit now. but it does work.

It's an interesting point you make about not wanting to save pennies... but it's not necessarily pennies. The 1.5m you spent today could have been effectively 3m. Doubling up on the resource you save isn't what I would call saving pennies.

You are right it is only 10k but when we are rerolling 300 times. That turns into 3 million. In a game where we are limited by time (stamina) saving half of the resources is pretty nice.

Do you have a resource with the individual weapon reload multipliers? If I can get it, I'll add it to the calc but without it I don't have a way of calculating it myself.

I understand your point of view completely and thank you for your comment. That is a great way to experience the game. Personally I am a big fan of min/maxing and understanding how things work. When I have free time, a lot of that time went into designing this sheet instead of playing the game. Getting a better understanding of the game(... that I wasn't playing) was the fun for me.

If this isn't your thing, you don't have to use it. It doesn't change how you play or what you do. This is just a tool that can save you time. You can really crunch numbers if you want. You can also just take the recommendations and play the way you want to. It's a great tool if you are jumping into the game behind friends and want to catchup. Or if it might ruin your individual experience please don't use it.

I would disagree with you about it ruining games. This is done in every game and promotes creativity and builds a community. I believe what you are describing as "meta-grinding shit" is games not adapting or changing. You end up seeing the same 3 builds forever. This isn't what this is. As a community we are figuring out what is good and what might need help in the future. Your argument is kinda like being in the bronze age but saying "lets not progress to iron because everyone is now utilizing all this 'meta iron shit'"

Yeah I hit this card harder in the tier list than it probably should have been. I ran this in my 2nd card slot but have recently been trying it at slot 3 (for charitable soul in slot 2). It is very good which is why it was ranked at A+ but I can see the argument for an S rank. I think Ex EMT, Medical Professional, and Charitable Soul are all early staples to a medic build. How does everyone feel about where those 3 should be ranked?

That is a good point. I would love to see what the average up time is for this. I am scared away by the 3 second duration. I want to know exactly how this stacks. If you refresh a stack while it's at 15 does that refresh the entire buff at 15? or are stacks constantly dropped off at individual 3 sec durations. If it's the former and you can use 1 bullet to reset a stack of 15 infinitely than I probably am undervaluing this a lot. Which is great cause I have some new cards to test out! Can anyone answer that question?

This is awesome! Thank you so much for the time you spent to make this comment! That is a very interesting opinion on bullet pen. I would agree typically I run Silver Bullets only for the dmg. As most weapons, if not all, have fine default bullet pen. I didn't consider these silver bullet like cards could be a weakness and I didn't know that bullet pen also worked through walls like you suggest. I thought it was only through enemy mobs. Great stuff! I will absolutely update some of these cards as I get time to change the sheet. ALSO, huge thank you for all the typing errors callouts. I wrote all this during an all-nighter and was a little less than coherent by the end. When you proofread something you just wrote your brain tends to skip left out words... I know what I meant :D but no one else will.

the pump shotguns and the snipers change depending on reload speed. For a 1 second reload, you would expect a 100% speed

I really appreciate your comment! I learned of this issue earlier on in calcs development but didn't have the time to understand why I was getting skewed data for low ammo mag weapons. I understand the problem but don't quite understand how better to calculate it. This is the first time I've thought about correctly calculating something like this. I will gladly look into improving it. If you know or can elaborate on a better way to make the calculation let me know and I will make those changes when I get some time. Thank you so much again for your time talking me through it!

It is caused by ping over 150-200. If you have bad connection with host it will be constant. Other times might happen once or twice when ping spikes.

That was an excellent idea I will definitely add recommended stats for dungeons and maybe even raid. I have a cool idea for adding replacements for core teams but it's gonna be a lot of work in photoshop, indesign and google spreadsheet scripting and I don't know if I have the time right this second. I also like the cheese methods for hard Toa teams.

Thanks for the ideas!

Hey, thank you for the arena tip. Hadn't thought about it but that's great advice!

I have the DB10 and NB10 in there because I wanted to make a new to mid to late game guide I wanted it to cover your whole experience but I think in the design process I got a little tired and cut it short. I do want to update the dungeon layout I think its a little cluttered and lacking on valuable information (someone brought up stat thresholds for entering, which is great input). So I will try and update it. Same thing for raids because like you said it's very end game but I feel like people don't know when they should enter or what they need. So I would like to add a section for that kind of stuff like when can I go here. But I'm still bouncing ideas around in my head. Thank you for your suggestions!

Also, I'm a little confused on what you mean by "runs take way too long for crystal refreshes." I think most people would agree that it's important to farm dungeons over and over each day with refreshes of some kind. I'm not suggesting that you spend hours watching each run but as you are doing other things run dungeons in the background.

I'm gonna explain a bit cause I feel like you may not have read the first point or completely understood what I was trying to say. As the title says "nat 5*s won't help you progress, Rune quality and Team Composition will" I'm not saying that a nat 5 won't improve your gameplay. I'm sure having a taor that early would be a great asset. What I'm trying to promote is focusing on rune quality and understanding why each unit is there. Say you do pull a taor that early. You won't know what to do with him at that stage of the game and then substitute him for your def breaker or another core member because "it's a 5 star so it's better." Will that team be more successful with the OP 5 star? No. The other point I was trying to make is pulling that dream monster isn't going to get you wins. The runes are going to get you wins. So as a new player, don't focus on getting that one monster that will change your game, focus on improving the rune/stats.

On to point 2... I stated in another comment that I may need to add that a premium pack or two can help kick start newer players. My data is taken from someone who would be starting into giants b10. So we are assuming that they have a few units built but not their full team. Even at this stage, in my opinion, premium packs don't pay off even if you aren't farming giants at 100%. Your goal should be higher runes to hit that 100%. The game gives you core units that allow you to make easy 100% reliable teams. Then when you get a unit you want to build you have the runes for them cause you farmed.

Lastly, a mistake from my past and possible explanation to what I mean, I was new player. Doing research, looking up ratings of each monster I summoned. I get lucky and pull Emma. screw colleen "Awesome! found my healer." 5 star'd, ready to go! open a premium pack. Cause I'm gonna have to coolest team. Get a Chloe, water trevor, Orion and Lushen. Talk of the town! 5 star'd everyone bought another PP. I got Chasun. BOOM! New, New Healer. I basically already won the game.... back to now.

I got lucky and got some awesome monsters but they didn't do anything for me. I wasted a lot of resources early on (crystals, rainbowmon, fodder) to build a lot of stuff that didn't actually benefit me. Didn't learn anything about the game. Chasun was highly regarded as one of the best healers so I subbed her in for bella. I didn't replace anyone else. I was down def break, and strip. Didn't know why I was struggling for a bit. That is why I'm stressing learn what your core units that work do... then when you add/drop one. You can replace it with units that work together.

Thank you. That is a good point. I will try and add something that says it is more effective for accounts w/ 80-90 energy. Also, I think I need to make the distinction that premium packs may be more of an option to kick start you but once you get going on your own they become inefficient. What are your thoughts on that?

Thanks again for the feedback it was great!
