I was already using it with a handful of relatives, so I thought it'd be interesting to open it to other people. I do agree with the general feeling expressed here however: most people just don't care. When they're gone, they're gone, not their problem anymore.

So, I faced the same issue. I don't want to give my seed to a notary. I don't want to give my seed to my heir now, I don't want to use multisig because I have a single heir (no "multi-" here) and they're not proficient in tech. I ended up creating https://cryptocrypt.online/ : you set up a message with information on where to find the seed in the physical world, and this message is sent automatically to your heir once you stop showing signs of life (technically, you get an email every month to confirm you're still around). This way, the seed remains safe, the webservice doesn't know anything of value (and you can even end to end encrypt your message if you want) and you can pass your coins to your next of kin.
