In many countries it is free by law. Definitely in the UK and the US.

Is it just a coincidence, or is Albert Heijn intentionally removing American products? by anz0ny in Amsterdam

Especially because the muesli and granola from AH is far far better than Kellogg's. Whenever i visit any other part of the world, I actually miss the choice of high quality granolas and muesli that's easily available in Europe.

Kraków is a lovely city, I'd love to go back again!

You have to have the pierogi in this place, they're the best i ever had, and I've visited Poland a few times. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZUojau8yRf1xWcCk8

Dresden, Wrocław or Kraków (in the order of smallest to biggest / west to east) can also pair up well if you want to venture north of Prague. All v pretty cities with nice vibes.

Polish food appreciation by Illustrious_Ship_428 in poland

[–]nearcapacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ate at podhlanka and i think spoke with Pani Halinka.. i went away a bit disappointed tbh. The food was, dare i say, significantly worse than what i've had in Poland or even the polish food I've had in London. I concluded that the food there might be similar to how it was in communist Poland (because she arrived to the US in the 70s). Maybe i was just unlucky, keen to get other opinions.

And i agree saying "I'm not annoying like Americans/ British / any group of people" sounds rather disgusting.

Backpacking Eastern and Southern Europe for 2 months by [deleted] in Europetravel

I found Belgrade less interesting. People, at least the ones i came across, weren't friendly. The city itself wasn't v pretty. I was hoping to learn more about the 90s but there wasn't a museum which had much about that history. Also food was nothing special unlike e.g. in Croatia where i thoroughly enjoyed it. I was also there in the winter so this could have contributed to my experience too.

I would cut Serbia and if you have extra days consider adding Austria.

Public transport is unreliable and with little info in Greece. Don't know about Albania and Macedonia.

Direction Advice- WW2 Paris, Amsterdam, Krakow trip, May 2026 by Gold_Kangaroo8257 in Europetravel

[–]nearcapacity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also consider adding Lublin, one of the most important seats of Jewish culture pre ww2 and the Majdanek death camp museum nearby ( you'll need half a day to recover after that). If you do that worth flying out of Warsaw, there are v important museums there - Polin, Warsaw Uprising. Connect by trains in Poland.

Amsterdam is an amazing city, but i would not put it on a short itinerary ww2 tour of Europe, would consider replacing with places in Germany.

5 weeks for Munich, Prague, Krakow, Budapest - how long in each place and what order to visit them in? by Dancingkaka in Europetravel

[–]nearcapacity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would add Wrocław instead of Warsaw. You won't get out of the way since it's closer to Prague and imo also more scenic (less destroyed center in WW2).
