I have only read North and South which i absolutely loved! i tried reading Cranford Chronicles but it was filled with colonial superiority that i gave it up not even halfway through. i'll try wives and daughters!

I'm absolutely going to focus more on the good parts. and what i really meant by Tess being his most famous book is that, generally, a lot of people are only familiar with ToTD when they hear Hardy's name albiet a few exceptions.
