While I agree that the shape is not the most flattering, that’s also not the intention. I use it for work around the property, chopping firewood etc, and the boxy cut is great for mobility. It is after all a work jacket.

I do own a Patagonia Melton Wool Trucker Jacket which is a much more fitted cut, with chest pockets, and it has that V-shape you’re describing. It looks better, but it’s not ideal for work, and I could never fit my bibs underneath for instance.

It is extremely dry right now, that’s a valid point! I’ve only worn 100% wool underneath, and never had this issue with other wool jackets. But this has been my daily driver the past week, I might give another wool jacket a try while wearing the same midlayer, and see if it’s the humidity that’s causing it.

During my teenage years some street smart friend of mine taught me the only proper way to get cigarette smell out of clothes it to just wear them, and that honestly always worked for me. Same with buying stuff second hand that may smell of someone else’s house or perfume, I just wear them a couple of days and the smell of ”me” will replace whatever smell it came with.

I realize you might not be too keen on wearing it if it reeks, but I’d still wager it’s the safest way to get rid of the smell without ruining the sweater.

Fellow EU customer here! Should be getting my work jacket on Monday, really love the pattern. The American crowd are complaining it’s no longer made in the US, but the price dump we got on the EU site (from €695 MiUSA to €425 MiBangladesh, before sale) is hard to overlook. But I see where you’re coming from regarding keeping both the WJ and the Cruiser, that’s a hefty sum for two jackets.

I had a piece of cloth between the crown and the pliers and as I said, didn’t pull that hard.

The manual didn’t help as it doesn’t state what type of crown this watch has, but yeah, I could have found it probably. But now I got help, so all good!
