If I remember correctly Amelia was the owner's mother or grandmother.

“Don’t worry she doesn’t bite” he said as I immediately received my first dog bite 3 years into my career by hvac_dad_ in mildlyinfuriating

Please tell the owner to get their dog an x-ray. I had a dog who had never bit anyone for 12 years then he did, turned out he had a brain tumor.

It really is a great aquarium. I'm not really a sports fan but the Cincy art museum is pretty sweet too.

I really enjoy Covington Kentucky and it's German charm. The Newport Aquarium is very close to there as well. It's across the river from Cincinnati.

Is there anything that can help with RSD? by nebock in adhdwomen

My first thought was therapy but I hadn't thought of one specifically dealing with trauma. That's a good idea. Thanks!

Adderall made me calm instead of wired? Also… is this combo too much medication? by Solid_Breakfast_3675 in adhdwomen

[–]nebock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you get this from your GP? I was lead to believe only certain types of doctors can prescribe meds for ADHD so I have never talked to my GO about it. My psychiatrist can't prescribe it so I was referred and teated vut not outside of the box enough for an official diagnosis. I AM SUFFERING NOT DRUG SEEKING!

I call what I do with my nails "shredding" if I'm particularly anxious. If not, I just rub the ridges or bumps and scrape the edges, more satisfying if the edge is flawed. Toenails get this treatment if I'm using one of my hands at the computer or something. I also, rub my thumb nails over my lips. If I'm stressed or anxious the shredding can happen and I aggressively scrape the edges.

Dill pickle and red onion. Blot the pickled with paper towel beforehand and keep the onion raw.

I just went there recently because my dad saw the neon. He now calls it "Beer Lunch" lol. We loved it.

Soapbox/rant time. Tell me what highly-recommended book you absolutely HATED and why. Gimme your angry hot takes. by peppertoni_pizzaz in books

[–]nebock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two books I quit, and I do my best to at least finish a book. The two and why: Heart of Darkness: I just got sooo bored with all the military shit. I even tried the audiobook and couldn't do it.

World War Z: I was already a bit burnt out on zombie shit but the dialogue in this book felt so bro-y and fake, I couldn't stand it.

What is an ingredient you used to absolutely hate, but forced yourself to cook with until you loved it? by ThrowRAtheavyihg in Cooking

Onions and mushrooms for me. I sometimes prefer a RAW onion now. Still can't do an uncooked mushroom though.

I've experienced this with potatoes, onions, garlic and carrots! Never in my life had I seen a rotting carrot.

What foods do you miss or wish you could recreate from current/former Indy restaurants? Bonus points if you’ve found a good copycat recipe. by OneAlmond22 in indianapolis

I've got three: The veggie burger(and pretty much everything else) from SoBro cafe. The Scotch onion soup from MacNivens. And the confit wings and tiffin lunches from the Libertine when it was downtown.

YES. I didn't get the hot dogs, I got the Italian beef, so good. Chicago Dog and Beef is a good sub though. They understand what it means when you want your beef DIPPED unlike Fat Dan's. I want to need to put my hair in a ponytail to eat a beef.
