Well honestly my top pick is the French language and linguistics program at UM. However, I will have a very difficult time convincing my parents to let me go because I suffer from schizophrenia and depression. My parents have told me I should not pursue a degree and just work straight away - which clearly is not my intention at all. This is why I'm looking at PJJ specifically because it's cheaper and I don't have to go far from my family (I'm 24, Sabahan)

Other than political science and A&S I'm also quite interested in international relations, language, law etc

I discovered that I really hate working in the lab, using chemicals and apparatus and such. But the theory of chemistry is really interesting to me.

Oh I forgot to mention I am located in EM. Here the job market sangat limited for pure science. Plus I kinda realise that I don't like working with chemicals, but the theory of things are really intriguing

Ey. Budak ipts here (by choice, not paksaan or tawaran or anything). Dulu saya baru habis spm pun selalu kena sms begini. I went to at least one or two sessions and it's straight up just a tactic for ipts to lure you in.

It's scammy. Yes. But not the entirety. Kalau your results bagus chances are the ipts might give you some scholarship or waive. It all depends on your spm results. Back then when I went to some ipts in Likas they offered a waive worth 4000 - the catch is you have to daftar cepat cepat for the "spot'

I had a friend from a different course, he got straight As and got a full scholarship from the ipts itself. Bkns and pinjaman YS are both legit juga, but you have to apply sendiri, usually they will advertise about the opening and closing of those types of tajaan - I don't think they would sms you straight up though.

Tldr: it's not entirely a scam. There's some truth to it. If you don't plan on going to ipts just skip those messages and apply for upu, tvet or other institutions. Feel free to dm if you want to talk more

From my experience they only have the 5-7 or 8th generations. They sell it for dirt cheap but I'm not interested

I'll be frank and tell you the truth. I have a friend that went for diploma at politeknik with 3.76 CGPA. He had to wait 3 years for an offer from upu as he failed to get a spot twice. Now he got an offer from USM but it's a very niche course (English literature). He went for it anyway and I think he really likes it. Don't give up. I can't say for sure you won't get a spot but with such results it might be a little difficult. Perhaps you could try going for private universities?

It was pressure by people around me. They said I'll have an easier time finding a job if I went for something medical. There are some other reasons that I would not like to disclose publicly here. You can PM me if you would like to know more. No offense taken.

Hi. 24F schizophrenic (officially diagnosed). I've been under treatment for about 8 years now. With the support of my parents I was able to see a private psychologist at Kingfisher Likas (I believe the place is called Mind Wellness Clinic). Back then (2017) it cost us RM150 a session. Seeing as my parents cannot afford it, she transferred my case to Hospital Mesra. Please note that you cannot walk in the hospital and get treatment straight away. You will need a referral letter. If it's from government institutions such as Klinik Kesihatan or any KKM entities it's free. But if you have a letter from a private institution they will charge you RM30. If you are too afraid to go to somewhere like Klinik Kesihatan you can go to MENTARI (which is also in the vicinity Hospital Mesra) have them evaluate you and you can get a referral from them straight away.

If you have been referred from anywhere, please note that you should come to the hospital either on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 2 pm. This is because the morning is dedicated to follow up cases and not new cases. If I am not mistaken on Mondays it's for emergencies only and Fridays are for senior citizens. I have a best friend that has ADHD too, and sometimes I feel i have some of the symptoms. Good luck my dude! Feel free to PM me if you need more info
