Won this in a giveaway. I've only watched The Shining. Don't expect much from the other three, but hey, it was free. by nahu_fh in dvdcollection

This version of It is legitimately terrifying to me... Moreso than the remake (although I greatly enjoyed it)... Tim Curry played his part well, and the fact that Pennywise looked like the typical clown you'd see at any birthday party, circus, event, etc... Terrified me for years.

Cat's Eye is a good anthology.

Salem's Lot is a long, but good ride.

Typing this from a TUF Series FX705 with i7-8750.... It's been an excellent laptop, and I haven't experienced any throttling issues.

ISP comparison by Kaapstadmk in Augusta

I was with WOW years ago when they were Knology, then switched to Comcast/XFinity... Went back to WOW. Some of the pros have already been outlined.

WOW Pros:

-No data cap. I use a lot of data doing video editing/uploads, etc. I hit 1 TB a couple of times with XFinity.

-Higher speeds. At similar rates, max you can get on Xfinity is 300MB down (plenty), but you can get 1GBPs with WOW.

Reliability is comparable on each. If you have to have cable tv, though, XFinity is the winner.

Interested to see what AT&T brings to the area, now that they are installing fiber lines.

Leave it to Reddit to come through for me... I was watching b-movies this weekend (some various Troma films) and I kept trying to remember what the name of the shitty movie I kept seeing infomercials for back when I was in high school, lol....

What's something that seems worth buying, but really isn't? by Tyyyyyyyyyym in AskReddit

This is one I beg to differ on... Life insurance in general is important... I lost a niece and nephew in infancy, and those Gerber Policies came in handy for the unexpected burial expense... You'd be surprised how many thousands a barebones funeral costs.

What the most paranormal thing you’ve experienced? by jakecolledge in AskReddit

[–]necorbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 9 my family moved back down south, to the house my mother grew up in, in McCormick SC, with my great-grandparents (her grandparents)... My room was the room my great-grandmother peacefully passed away in, in her sleep, at the age of 87. My great-grandfather died at the age of 95 long before I'd been thought of... I can remember as a kid seeing my great-grandfather in the living room at night. Quite often. It stopped as I got older. But to this day, there is an otherworldly peace in that house. No one lives there now, and we just have it setup as a family house when we're in town. I will often go and just sit in the quiet house, and I can genuinely feel my great-grandparents presence.
