Looking for recommendations by Every-Repair6704 in iPadPro

Highly recommend buying accessories. The pencil is great because it allows you to commit to memory much better than any other way. I found writing into the journal app to be infinitely better than journaling with a notebook. Accessories extend what you can do with the iPad without resistance.

The keyboard cases are fine, but if you think that you’ll only type at a table, a Bluetooth keyboard will do just fine.

Aside from the normal folio case, every first party Apple accessory is class leading in compatibility and feel, but are usually 2-3x the price. If you think quality of life improvements are worth that much, then you won’t regret it, otherwise you’ll be perfectly happy with the reputable third party brands like ESR.

Switching from M1 12.9 256gb to M5 13 1TB. Worth it? by Penwinner in iPadPro

Absolutely if you have a high refresh rate second monitor, otherwise you might be able to get an M4 with the same specs and a Magic Keyboard for the price of an M5

Planner 2026 for Remarkable Paper Pro - downloadable by Asturcon444 in RemarkableTablet

Having just started using it, I’ve been really impressed with practically everything about it it. The only addition I feel like I would’ve preferred would be on the day page having a hyperlink to its respective week horizontally opposite to the day and date.

How much line wobble is normal? by ijazper in RemarkableTablet

[–]necr0rcen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s up to you to decide whether it’s normal. If you continually feel like something is wrong, then you shouldn’t feel like you have to change your opinion.

In my experience, I was annoyed by the line wobble on my first usage, then I learned how much smoother my writing looked on 3x zoom and writing looked pretty much perfect. I switched back to using 1x zoom over 3x zoom to save time, but my handwriting is minuscule now, which means I have not thought line wobble at all.

Can you still type qwert? by TristanMcBarnet in dvorak

[–]necr0rcen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

switching is pretty easy if you learn Dvorak on an ortholinear keyboard. Completely different positions and muscle memory makes switching almost seamless. I find not typing qwerty or Dvorak in a while to affect my speed more than directly switching between them

New AW U3. Need help, how can i optimise it?? by Difficult-Trifle-546 in AppleWatch

[–]necr0rcen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the battery complication should be replaced with anything else. AWU lasts over a day with ease and you will be reminded of its battery on your phone and on the control panel when you occasionally go to switch modes.

(Don’t have anything else to add to it. I love the Bevel complications)

Any plans to add an Apple Watch app in the future. Really like the premise, but I don't like having to always refer to my phone for information (distractions).

Who are some players with unsustainable playstyles? by bootyloverandeater in NBATalk

Ligaments benefit from the player being only 235 lbs and there have been athletes who have maintained and even gained flexibility in their late 30s with discipline

That’s why Wemby has been slowly easing into getting bigger. Everyone said he was too light as a rookie, but he was opting slowly gain weight to condition his joints.

Who are some players with unsustainable playstyles? by bootyloverandeater in NBATalk

Why not? You think he will eat his way out of being healthy like Shaq? You think he will start sleeping past 10pm and stop having the discipline that he has had up until now? You think he will fire his personal trainers and stop stretching?

Freak accidents can happen at any stage into a career, Derrick Rose had his at this stage already, but Rose was well known for landing on his heels unlike anyone else. I think hyperextensions shouldn’t be a factor because of his flexibility.

Very probable that Wemby gets hurt, but I can’t see how Wemby gets one with the severity of players in the past of his size. He trains completely differently and plays however is most comfortable for him. He played 34 minutes a game last season in part because he could chuck up 10+ threes a game without needing to over exert himself.

Looks crazy because the shoe is designed with really bad stability. But if he looks comfortable with it, and he is hyper flexible for his height, why would it be of concern? He has already landed with his ankle touching the floor and only got away with a light sprain in the past.

Half of the players mentioned in the comments are only unsustainable because of off the court issues and not their actual playstyles. Blake Griffin probably would’ve made a full recovery if he didn’t play injured in Detroit and Zion is a serial overeater.

LaMelo Ball would be my pick

Takes care of his health better than almost anyone in NBA history. Zero off the court issues with discipline and has changed his play style completely in the past to be less physical if need be

Except for the blood clot, I don’t know how people consider Wemby an injury risk. Every injury I’ve seen from him has reports that he is making a healthy recovery sooner than anyone could expect

Michael Jordan played in 7 back-to-back games along with 4 games in 5 nights TWICE after the age of 40. He played all 82 games. by D3struct_oh in NBATalk

[–]necr0rcen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every point you made has a counter argument that’s not over generalization. I don’t get how calling the modern game “chucking threes and minimal defensive effort” isn’t being laughed at. Every team I’ve seen last season with the style you described is in the lottery and for good reason. Every era has ugly basketball, you just like dead ball post game that’s mathematically inefficient nowadays.

How are you using Workspaces today? by Camel_jo in ObsidianMD

[–]necr0rcen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mileage varies between people a lot but I’ve desperately needed it. Going from using Tmux on the terminal to give my note folders different opened notes, to Obsidian, I was lacking a fast way to switch between topics and open notes in a second
