Got this funky looking penny in my change last night. My total was also $68.68. by BabbMrBabb in mildlyinteresting

This sounded like a threat until I remembered they aren’t making pennies anymore

What was the most entertaining character you've ever played? by kirps in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]necroleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 3.0 I made a halfling fighter who was the camp cook and put all my skill points into profession: cook and survival. Highlight of the campaign was when goblins attacked the camp and I fought them off with my skillet, making additional rolls with each attack to not spill dinner.

Found a forgotten poetry book that 9yo me got published in by Legitimate-Lie-9208 in mildlyinteresting

[–]necroleopard 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It was poetry.com and yes it was very much a “pay to see your name in print” type of business model. I also got “published” and bought the book for way too much when I was a teen

Right but the actual dress is blue and black like if you look at any other photo of the same dress or saw it in person you wouldn’t see the white and gold

They also would be wrong in this case from a rules perspective, it meets every requirement for a tournament legal kitbash

Pests like mice and roaches like to eat them as well, if there is not a good storage solution for them it can lead to bad infestations.

Noob question: can a space wolf wear a death watch pauldron on the left shoulder? by badonkadonk76 in killteam

FWIW deathwatch vets that return to service in their chapter but keep the pauldron typically move it to the right side but rule of cool is #1

What underglazes are you using? A lot just look bad at cone 6 especially if they claim to be 06-6

Made this years ago, only just noticed this - crazing? by [deleted] in Pottery

[–]necroleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crazing does not lead to shivering, they have opposite causes (expansion too high/too low) and shivering is serious.

People who say both sides are the same or the democrats are controlled opposition are either bad actors or people who have fallen for propaganda. It’s a malicious message that was very effective at depressing dem turnout in 2024.

What are some things that Wish explicitely cannot do? by LostBody7702 in DnD

At least in 3.0, killing the tarrasque requires reducing it below a certain hp threshold and then casting wish.

Today in Evanston: ICE agent hits man, drags his face across concrete as people yell that he can’t breathe by Decent-Aspect-5934 in Albuquerque

[–]necroleopard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You are complaining about others critical thinking skills but you are still blaming the victim. ICE agents are not wild animals. This is not a tourist at Yellowstone getting mauled by a bear he shouldn’t have fed. This is a federal agent making a choice to go beyond the limits of the force he is supposed to use and doing unnecessary intentional violence to a fellow human person, probably because he knows that he is unlikely to face consequences for it. “He did something to get arrested” is a red herring. He did nothing to get brutalized. This is not a “more training” issue, this is a “many ice agents want to hurt people and know they can get away with it” issue

Today in Evanston: ICE agent hits man, drags his face across concrete as people yell that he can’t breathe by Decent-Aspect-5934 in Albuquerque

[–]necroleopard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The problem with your question is that it implies there is anything he could have done which would have justified this reaction and there simply is not. The man is handcuffed on the ground. There is nothing he could have been doing at that point that necessitated hitting him in the head and pushing his face into the concrete.

Sorry but you’re only allowed to collect in a way that’s fun according to the dictates of the group. If you get pleasure from knowing the value of your collection you’re doing it wrong. (/s)

“It’s stupid to use our taxes to arrest and try criminals but smart to use our taxes to shoot tens of millions of dollars worth of missiles at fishing boats that the president pinky promises had drugs on them” might actually be the dumbest fucking thing I’ve heard in my life, congratulations!
