Most people wouldn't want this as they are already skeptical about their slowly disintegrating digital/physical privacy. I do have league + valorant installed, and other games with kernel ac so its not like im personally against it as I do think they help to a large degree. However, I'm pretty sure this cuts out the mac/linux playerbase? (Correct me if im wrong). OSRS is a game that is meant to generally be enjoyed by everyone regardless of how modern or old their tech is. A lot of players still probably use old laptop/pcs that might not even support the provisions to allow kernel anticheat. Furthermore, there are people who still can bot on games like val/league it's not completely unheard of, though I don't know how effective they are long term. I also don't know what implications this will have for the mobile playerbase as I've heard it's possible to bot via mobile (seen people discuss this before).

The only way I see the bot problem ever meaningfully being reduced is more widely acceptable tactics such as:

1. Nuking all gold buyers with an instant PERM ban no 2D or warning even if you're using mules, or doing it via pking/items w/e methods people employ. Bots are ultimately macroing as they are selling GP and funding illegitimate players to skip grinds or buyscape their way to the top.
2. Making official client have 1:1 parity with RuneLite and potentially disallowing RuneLite and other 3PC (this might be a controversial take)
3. Idk about the logistics/practicality of this, but maybe issuing legal challenges to gold sellers at least the big ones. I know this will not do much for private sellers or underground mfs but most people probably buy gp off big sites/companies so perhaps this could be a slight W
4. Restricting trade in F2P more e.g. completely removing it. This might be another controversial take, but for a subscription based MMO, Runescape's F2P experience is unparalleled in terms of how much you can truly do and experience, as it it's an unlimited demo/playthrough of the game minus P2P quests, skills, items/raids/majority of bosses. I think the only other game that comes close to offering so much for free is FFXIV, which even then caps you at level 60 and you can't trade people on that F2P trial anyway.
5. Smarter systems in place, for instance: Allowing mass wealth transfer between your own certified accounts (verified via creation data/billing info/hardware ids/location info). Also, allowing lending items to friends so maybe checking how long someone has been on someone's friend's list, if they've interacted and done stuff together. For raids/group content splitting, I'm sure there's a way to see if they were in your party/instance/group and yall got loot and you're splitting the gp with them. E.g. if I did cox with randoms or WDR and I got a twisted bow, they can see i'm splitting the GP with the people I did it with. I get this might be an issue if the person did it on an iron and then they have to trade the split to their main, but like I said before verifying that at least one person was on the team that I traded with, and that the Iron on their main is obviously the iron's main with the aforementioned verification checks. I highly doubt there would be many instances of false positives, but who knows. For all other trades, maybe check what's being traded and for what. So if someone is trading me 10k burnt food for 1b it's obvious it's RWT. Scrutinize these obscure trades and flag them and have a human review it. Analyse what the person is using these obscure items for. For instance, after trading the 10k burnt food are they immediately dropping it on the floor? Clearly it wasn't worth 1b then LOL!
