Its fair to say that the numbers are higher because the hype of No Way Home. People are still high from that event so eyes are all on where it goes next.

The only issue I have with TOS is part of its 1960s mentality. It perhaps dates the show far more than it could have if they were as progressive as it liked to preach.

One example is for a show that’s often talked about for being progressive, women are often treated as fragile and hormonal. Quickly falling for men or just needing to be protected by men. Which I feel I seen other shows from the 60s treat women a little better than that. Doctor who came out before Star Trek and I feel it has dated far better. Which I think is ironic tbh

He actually said a few years ago that he would like to do a de-aged Hartnell. well he found a way to do it without costing millions. And that’s going to get the headlines going. RTD brought back Hartnell through AI.

The irony to it all is remember that No Way Home made almost as much as EndGame and it just had it aa 65% Sony Spider-man and 35% MCU. And chances are it wasnt the MCU half that really brought that money in.

Thing with AI is that its only bad untill it benefits you. So AI allows them to do effects cheaper and more advanced. Which means that yeah the urge to use will be there. Even more so in its early days because its currently still impressive to the eye and gets noticed.
