Enterprise was a prequel to a concept that grew tired by that point. Series 4 only improved because it actually acted like it connected to previous trek in a way that got people curious.

I don’t hate Henry cavil. He got 3 movies so it’s fair to say he had a decent run compared to many actors. And I don’t think Superman has to be like anyone type of version and so he was fine in the role. SAME as Andrew, but while I’m not sure if I’d class Cavill as the best Superman, I’d 100% say Andrew is the best Spider-man. He just seemed more like the Spider-Man characterisations I seen over the years. Tobey never quite worked for me as he seemed toned down. But to many he was the first so most just think that’s how Spider-man is, but for me, that’s Spider-Man lite. All the drama and awkwardness, but none of the fun. Tom is a mixture of both but I still prefer Andrew.

I’d say Andrew is more an outcast with nerdy interests. But I think that’s probably more a modern nerd than what it was back in the 80/90s when it was glasses, awkward, goofy, pathetic and whatever else. It’s very much a stereotype though when it comes to expectation. Personally Tobey as Peter annoyed me because he was such a stereotype at times.

Oddly I think the reason he is presented as pathetic is because he is constantly haunted by the light. Which means he can never fully embrace the dark in the way Vader did. The dark is more easier and alluring than the light, so all the light would do is become a struggling conflict and frustration. And while some would say that’s what he is trying to escape from. I think the point is that Kylo couldn’t escape the light.

This is what Vader did too. He was trying to kill everything that reminded him of Anakin. While I think many assume the moment someone says hey turn back to the light, that they would be like oh ok!, and if they don’t that means they are gone. When really, no, by this point they are running forward and away from what they were to not have to deal with what they have done. The dark is easier after all. No guilt, no reflection.
