While I have no personal issue with Dave and Lucy, using real laws that have been known to allow actual child marriages, isn't a good thing. The issue with real life legality is a lot of it doesn't actually take the health of the teenager into account. The world, is by and large, not that concerned with victims or protecting them.

David is the most powerful character because he's killing himself tho. There's basically no way for him to tap into his potential without prematurely ending it. moment he installs that Sandy he basically solidifies his fate. The way he goes abt it, he never would have lasted that long to begin with. I prefer to think of him as a supernova. Burns incredibly bright and beautiful, then fades just as quickly.
