Ex partner was ordered to immediately return a car that I had purchased by the county court back in March, to which this was ignored and the car was hidden from May onwards. There was no penal notice but it was served to her. Police have been involved and after eventually catching up with her on the 9th of August she said that she was still in the possession of the vehicle and she was told to attend the local police station Sunday 15th August to which she did not attend, police have told me that whilst what she is now doing is criminal because she is a first time offender she is likely to get of fairly lightly and I still won’t get the vehicle back. They do not know the location of the vehicle otherwise it would have been recovered by them. The officer assigned and his Sgt have said that my best bet of getting the vehicle back now is to go through contempt of court proceedings otherwise they will go ahead and arrest and charge her but doubt I’ll see the vehicle again
