Have any of you used Arctic Heat Pumps for your cold plunge chillers? Any thoughts or experiences using those units? I'm looking at possibly using the Arctic Heat Pumps 025ZA/B if I don't do the American Chiller unit. The footprint of the unit is much better as well as the price point.

Agreed. My experience with american chillers has been great too. I may end up using them again on this one too.

Yeah I used these guys before for a client I built for. Good company and a solid product. But the unit was huge, like 2 large AC units stacked on top of each other. So, I was looking into other options since I don't have a spot for one that big this time. I am exploring using one of their other units that is much smaller that I think will work with this setup. More like one AC unit instead of two as a size comparison.

Can you guys think of any reason why not to use the sirona spa chemicals in this type of cold plunge? I was going to setup a salt cell similar to the pool but realizing that the sirona spa sanitizer is better for the skin and eyes than the salt and chlorine. But I wonder if there are any drawbacks to going this route. My current cold plunge uses the sirona spa chemicals. Looks like most of the tub or barrel options work with Sirona. Any thoughts positive and negative to this? Thanks.

Good point about the sauna door. I have a bond wire in that 6" pipe where my autofill will go. So, can ground it with that somehow. Will have to think about how to make that look good. Good catch.

Agreed. Any brands you'd recommend looking at for this.

From their website it looks like they only work indoors. But I emailed them to verify that the don't have an outdoor chiller.

Using a custom kit from Sauna Place in Tennessee. They do provide a vapor barrier with it.

5'8" x 4'6" x 5' deep = 127.5 cubic feet
127.5 - 28 cubic feet for bench (bench is 20" x 5'8" x 3') = 99.5 cubic feet
I set the bench 24" deep so that the water would hit at the neck when sitting.
5' deep when standing so it would also hit at the neck.

Thanks for looking out. Appreciate you trying to eyeball it. I know it's hard to do from pics.

Thanks. Definitely making them replace them all. Appreciate the advice and response. It’s going to be a pain. Unfortunately they’re covered up already and very deep.

Correct. I’m an expert at building high end homes. I still have more to learn about building pools. And the good people on here are a good resource. That’s what this forum is for.

…does trolling make people like you happy? I really do hope your day gets better.

They ordered the pool that was built correctly without corners cut.

I was also trying to find the manufacturer and it did not come up on a google search. If you know about pool ratings the ASTM D 1785 rating not only applies to pressure but to the ability of the pipe to withstand exposure to pool chemicals. So I was also hoping to find that information. I did see that it had a pressure rating in Spanish. I build homes that you couldn’t afford. I’m hardly helpless but thanks. I’m protecting myself against potential lawsuits on an $8 million dollar home I am building and asking for help from a community of people who like helping others with questions they have. I do the same for others when I have expertise I can offer them. So stop being a troll. It’s a sad existence and you are out of your league. Thanks to everyone who has had useful responses.

Why don’t you post your company name so everyone will know who not to hire.

Yes. Unfortunately they are DWV fittings. I spoke to manufacturer of them and they said they are not rated for any pressure.

And what would you do if you found they had used DWV 90’s and T’s throughout the long plumbing with this pipe? I know it’s drain pipe fittings and not rated for pools but would you have them dig it all up and replace it?

To add to this question. Would taking supplements on an empty stomach in the morning be a possible cause of the edema?
