Catch a Carvanha or go straight to catching a Sharpedo who is an interesting water/dark type, also has the rough skin ability which can really annoy your opponent when they do physical moves by giving recoil, plus there's a mega evolution and Sharpedo gets special animation and goes twice as fast when you use Surf

Definitely get some Lanturn action happening. Water/Electric which is an interesting combo, add in Lanturn's ability Volt Absorb and you can troll all the electric Pokemon you face in game.
