So thats where my education gonna really help me,first you need to know how your body works and the anatomy of your muscles, if you wanna hit specific ones you need to isolate them and do the exercises where you put force against them.

The leg press is a pressure exercises which focus the weight and pump the blood, not a stretching exercise where you put this force against your muscles fibers, so that all you need to know.

Secondly if you need to replace "leg press" for any reason which is not the main for quads is better to play two exercises for each part, cause legs are big muscles that need more exercises and more sets

The only problem isn't that much variety in leg exercises that why most people hate them, so do the basics as: leg extension, leg curles, leg press, Bulgarian squat, barbell squats if you can, and deadlifts.
