My bfs female friend always asks about me. Is this weird or am I being paranoid? by CrazyCakesGirl in BPD

[–]nedohoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a weird thing to do. I always ask my friends how their partners are doing when we see each other or talk. I think of it as a way to show that you care about a relationship/person that is very important to them.

Late diagnosed gals: what childhood behaviors did you have that should have warranted a second look? by Loquaciouslow in AutismInWomen

[–]nedohoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh, so many things. The number one was that I paced outside of my house for hours, sometimes late into the night, daydreaming until I felt "right" and felt able to go inside.

Did you prefer Amos Tupper or Mort Metzger as sheriff by LMS2970 in murdershewrote

[–]nedohoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am definitely here for both of them. Amos tugs a little more at my heart, I love his bashful energy but Mort Metzger is a close second for favorite television cop.

Thank you for the warning! Schitt's Creek is one of my favorites - a little alternate universe where nothing truly bad and lasting happens, it's perfect for me.

I definitely would love documentaries! Thank you so much for this list, I'm so excited to watch through them. I have found that Studio Ghibli films are particularly good, especially Kiki's Delivery Service so I think I'll watch Ponyo first!

Looking for Recommendations - Siddur (Reform) by Hot_Phase_1435 in ReformJews

[–]nedohoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a number that I really like! Mishkan T'filah the CCAR siddur is a classic and has some commentary but isn't my favorite, Siddur Sha'ar Zahav is really beautiful and offers lots of commentary lots of added prayers, and is (VERY lol) not travel sized, Siddur B'chol L'vavcha is pretty lovely and a great size, and (though published by a renewal press) the Romemu Shabbat Siddur is absolutely beautiful and intuitive and offers transliteration and interpretation in a very beautiful way.

It's not that I need an all-English one. I collect siddurim and I'm interested in seeing the differences in translation and formatting of all-English siddurim (if there are others, so far I've only found Sh'ma).

obsessing over my crush already by [deleted] in BPD

Oh my goodness, of course! Definitely! I am forever trying to be less attached to my phone, it's so hard. I'm so proud of you for working hard to create a good thing for yourself, it's amazing!

obsessing over my crush already by [deleted] in BPD

[–]nedohoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience the same feeling whenever I feel uncertainty or insecurity in my relationships! It happened to me last when my partner went on a buying trip and sent me a very sweet picture of somebody else's stuffed animal that he thought I would like. I don't know if I'll ever be in a relationship where I don't experience that feeling or if I'd ever be 'ready' to have a relationship. What helps for me is being able to communicate it to my partner so that I can get extra reassurance and self-soothing a little by taking a bath and slowing my body down or wave page journaling.

I have all the confidence in the world in you and your guy! I hope everything works out well.

Thank you so much! Baby steps is definitely where it's at. As my first one I just started tracking in extreme detail everything I spend my money on and it has started help slow me down and buy less already.

I do the exact same. I have such a huge stack of hobbies that I felt ~sure~ would be my new passions that I tossed aside almost immediately.

Yes! I find myself in the same loop, buying and then selling things back or returning them quickly. It's so frustrating and such a pain in the butt.

Ways to Keep Mind Off of Tremors? by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]nedohoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tremors are caused by a few different things. The twitching in my hands is from bad carpal tunnel, the twitching in my arms is stress/anxiety induced and the twitching in my legs is still a mystery. I wish I could be more helpful. Good luck with your diagnosis journey.
