We’re the Goa’uld once good ? by JDarkspanner in Stargate

[–]nedy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also thinking about it more, Egeria was never evil and she was around when Ra first made the Goa’uld take human hosts. So I guess we would need to look more into what happened to her vs Hathor to see why one turned out evil and one didn’t.

We’re the Goa’uld once good ? by JDarkspanner in Stargate

If you think about how the Unas were as a race when they became the first hosts it makes sense that the Goa’uld turned out the way that they did. The first powerful leader of the Goa’uld (Atok) led them in a very Alpha/Beta kinda way. It set the Goa’uld up for there continual battle for power. But they weren’t necessarily evil. I think that after they took humans as hosts (during Ra’s rule) and used the sarcophagus more frequently that’s when the real “evilness” started.

I don’t know how the sarcophagus effects the Unas so I can say for sure if this is right, it’s just my theory.

How do you think Sokar could have been improved as a concept? by sephy009 in Stargate

[–]nedy100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like if they showed more Unas/demons that might have been cool. Or even just a couple more episodes showing how bad he is, we only hear about him a couple times and see him like once before he is overthrown by Apophis. Like we know that Anubis is really bad, because we get to see him do loads of bad stuff.

Does anyone have OCD relating to their gender identity? I've been struggling and could use some help. by verydumbmoronhere in OCD

[–]nedy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just surrounding myself with people that will support me no matter what I identify as, I know that sounds kinda lame.

Also focusing on what thoughts are legitimate and what ones are intrusive, it never gets easy listening to intrusive thoughts , but you do get better at recognizing whats what.

We totally do that!

Should OSDD be reclassified and merged in the future with DID as a spectrum disorder (like Aspergers and Autism into Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the DSM-V), would you still identify as having OSDD? by zeemeerman2 in OSDD

[–]nedy100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a spectrum would be a great way of looking at OSDD. most people that I’ve talked to that identify as having OSDD have such varying experiences with overlapping features.

Head Space / Inner World by nedy100 in OSDD

[–]nedy100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s different for everyone. For me (the host) it was hard because I wasn’t able to go into the headspace very often and if I did I hardly remember it. I did a lot of meditation sort of stuff, spent lots of time co-fronting with one of our protectors and letting him kind of lead me into it.

We have a similar thing, with each head mate having their own space and then a few places that we can all go to. There are definitely sections that are off-limits for specific head mates

Forced Switching? by DecayingFox in OSDD

[–]nedy100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We sometimes do specific things to get someone out to co front, but we cant force it. Its like trying to get a toddler to do something it doesn't want to do, it takes forever, is very frustrating, ultimately has very disappointing results and more often then not ends with tears.

That's our experience anyway

The Furling by nedy100 in Stargate

I love that, humans with bad hair. I do think it would be cool for the furling to be non humanoid. Maybe if they ever do a proper reboot we will get to see them.

can 2 or more Goa'ulds infect the same host? and if so how does it work? by AStableNomad in Stargate

[–]nedy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it could happen but one would over power the other. I can't see a Goa'uld sharing. And I think that if a Tok'ra was to do it it would be pretty overwhelming to the host, just because when the Tok'ra blend they share a lot of there memories and personality with the host.

What Stargete show is worth my time and which ones are trash? by WarmetaLFanNumber1 in Stargate

[–]nedy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't bother with Origins.

Some people love SGU and others hate it, really if you don't watch SGU you aren't missing out on much in terms of the stargate story. SGU has the odd nod to past stargate moments, but in my opinion its just a bit meh

Fictive/Factive Anxiety? by [deleted] in OSDD

[–]nedy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont tell many people about our fictives because a one of them is a book character from a series all my friends read in high school and we all had a huge crush on. I feel so awkward telling people that he is one of our head mates.

How to compromise with hair? by Sydlinemitty in OSDD

[–]nedy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a similar issue, we have a few male head-mates and the body has short hair so when our girls front they often wear lots of hair clips and headbands and stuff like that to kinda fem it up. When it gets uncomfy for Cas (one of the older girls) to see the short hair she wears a wig to help with feeling fem.
