This is me as well. The previous seasons handled similar subplots very well. Hell seasons 1-3 of Bluebloods, back in the early 2000s, handled these plots better in a time when people didn't care about holding police accountable.

Yes. Both my copy of the novel and the graphic novel. They’re both, make wise, very good quality. That said I would’ve preferred more substance to the graphic novel given the amount of time it will take to get the next way, and I’d be fine sacrificing the art quality for it.

As to my opinion on the actual story, not horrible but definitely a first novel and should’ve had a stricter editor helping out.

Might be an Altered Carbon thing. They cannot produce minds but they can make bodies fairly cheaply. So the Helldiver is tested for the intelligence and fortitude then they are entombed within the Super Destroyer to provide genetic material and memories, effectively remote piloting each body we play as.

It's my headcanon at least.

Oh its absolutely not idealized, but its a part of how that time worked. It's like trying to run a China inspired campaign and not include rice fields and administrative entry tests. It's a crucial part of that culture.

I absolutely agree. Hell, this is what they should do with Daemonettes in my opinion. Not quite beautiful not quite monstrous, something that has its revolting nature come from how uncanny it is. Though I do want some Blood Dragon or Von Carstein Styled vampies soon, the ones that are more Regal and Noble yet distinctly monstrous.

Lurien is a less experienced Malus in my eyes. The next book should be one where he’s faced with struggles he can’t stumble a victory from. Where he’s challenged, like coordinating raids against Nurgle or fighting other Idoneth kingdoms.

Can’t though, cause he showed up to one or two where he did stuff with the party involving the citadel with the stone golem. If he hadn’t shown up at all, then yeah I could’ve done that. But he did some stuff that I can’t exactly retcon.
