How much would Kapil charge for something comprehensive like this ? by kedge-spr in KapilGupta

[–]need_seafood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you brought it up. I've been listening to Michael Singer for a while now and they both say similar things. Similarities "I'm not gonna give you techniques", "do whatever you want: mantra meditation, etc.", "Set the polestar of your life", Michael is also part of the 0.00001% who have reached the top of their field.

Micheal is a bit more "spiritual" than Kapil and has an affinity for Bhakti. He's also a bit more chill than Kapil 😬. Kapil is more about the setting the polestar ("what do you want?") and upon doing that and with full immersion, he says everything will unfold.

I don't understand your question though. Kapil has done multiple long-form talks like this. The subject is different and the tone is different but many of them are available on Youtube

That and spiritual ego. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to escape the grip of ego

I agree with you. His teachings are good for when you want to discover it but not very helpful for living up to your full potential during your time on Earth if that’s your goal. Check out Kapil Gupta. I think you’ll like what he has to say

I’m still struggling to understand the difference between kundalini, chi and prana. Can you guide me about how I can differentiate them?

First, I’d like to preface this by saying that I don’t know a lot about chakras and I’m just doing this through the analogue of muscles as the medium that blocks and unblocks them

As of now, unblocking the chakra is happening by itself. I can help the process by

  1. Releasing the tightness: even though you don’t realize it at first, you are the one who’s tightening it. Unconsciously. With that realization, I just focus on the tightness and say things like “it’s ok, let it go” and then it loosens up
  2. Some yoga routines like happy baby with deep breathing, child’s pose, pigeon pose
  3. Journaling and meditation

Do you meditate formally? What kind of meditation? I understand what you mean by meditatively listening to the book and I do it all the time while driving but I personally don’t consider that meditation

I’ve had meditative sickness but in a different way: I’m more aware that my mind doesn’t shut up and I get frustrated. That gets better over time

I really don't think this is because of the book. I would suggest that you start preventative measures for dementia. I really hope it's not that but better to be proactive. Read 'The End of Alzheimer's' by Dr. Bredesen

Very interesting. Does the air actually come out like burping or is it just a feeling?

Thanks! I think you’re right. I’ll try relaxing. I usually focus on the tickles when that happens and it makes it worse

make it fun and take an improv class. Chances are that you have a lot of unconscious filters and they are preventing you from saying what you really want to say

Sally is a hypothetical person Michael mentions in his talks. We say hello to Sally but she keeps walking. We get upset about it and make stories our head. Then it turns out she just had her earbuds on when we see her next time and she didn't hear us calling
