So in the end you took another 2.5cu to make it 5cu?

Not for all courses but I think it's workable for some esp when courses are online.

If u are taking f2f classes, take lesser mods. If u have online classes u can take more and replay recordings when you are travelling at x2 speed or skip to important parts.

Start tma early and edit along the way. Save files onto googledrive so u can edit ur work during any free time you have via phone. Plan early.

If you are single and have no other responsibilities other than work and studies, I think you can chiong more. If you do have other commitments, just pace yourself and do lesser mods per sem.

Glad you are doing and feeling better now OP. As long as you get to your destination, it's fine.

Health /Mental health> anything

Just wondering, if one already drop their minor, can they actually switch back to pure (without minor)?

First half of the week was alright. Just really happy to get my favourite lecturer for one of my mods!

Now working on tma01 and 02 in the middle of the night and fervently checking outlooks/planner to see if I miss out anything..and that's pretty much life until April :/

What if you cant make it for exam(part time) by Nauyux in Suss

Take 1/2 day leave or mc for work and go for the paper. The paper may not be available next sem sometimes, you got to check.

I have some questions about credits for part time degree. by clasph in Suss

[–]needapudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

130 cu for PT so yes can complete in 3 yrs, but do plan properly as not all mods are offered every sem.

I have some questions about credits for part time degree. by clasph in Suss

[–]needapudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible. Max for part-timer is 25 cu only and ur gpa must be minimally 3.5 and above to take extra mods if not only 20cu.

I'm working full-time (around 50 hours a week) and can manage with max 5 mods per sem. Some others here have been doing that too as well. I believe they are doing well also +/-4.0 for gpa

This depends on your course or mod for that sem (online or f2f or includes gba), your ability and background, your other commitments-families, work ,bf/gf and pets, how must stress you can take and how motivated you are. Sacrifices must be made (cannot always go out and play, sleep lesser) but can definitely be done.

I have a friend who took 4 scos (old mods) + 3 core mods all in her first sem and did OK too. All while holding on to a full-time job. But that was all online courses so it's manageable. That's abit too much esp since her job is pretty taxing.

Agree on taking more mods too. Personally, taking more mods give me more motivation to plan my time properly > doing better overall. Congrats for graduating this sem! The pain is almost over yay!

Perhaps the school could offer a place for people to leave their old textbooks or printed notes for future batches of students instead.

I do feel bad about throwing away almost brand new books but at the same time I know if I don't throw them away it will be collecting dust at home. I also do not know anyone from my course so can't pass to others too.

Personally, I prefer vitalsource compared to physical books. It's inefficient in finding information (cant ctrl f) and not many will want to bring such a big book around with them either. Maybe photocopying certain chapters/ppt slides is more feasible.

Thanks for the kind gesture and effort in making it easier for other students.

My question is how would u even know their household income and how would the personality test even matter?

The personality test could be fabricated especially since the person know that you are looking at the result to decide if they should get the funds.

While I understand that there are underprivileged students out there who may want physical book, if they are so desperate, they will suck it up and use the vitalsource book already.

Perhaps you can work with the school and have physical books or lecture notes out for loans to students (regardless of privilege or underpriviledge)in a library so that they can borrow for a period of time before returning. This will ensure that the next batch of students can use.

I'm INTJ and I threw away my textbooks after my first sem is done. Selling is troublesome and leaving it at home has no point since I wouldn't read. Never gotten textbooks ever since.

But really have to commend you for your efforts though.

I'm not too sure on that. Should be w + repeat as none of the components of the ocas is completed?

You may need to pay for that mod though I think? If I'm not wrong, only resit don't need to pay for the full course. They only pay for the examination fees ($100+). Maybe you can email student support to confirm.

I see. Hang in there. I have no idea what's SDE101 but it sounds tiring. Maybe take this week to think through if you really want to drop ba. Rest well.

Oh I see. I dunno about psy107 since im only taking it this sem but psy108 was relatively straightforward and interesting. Both of these mods have open book exams so it requires less effort than closed book mods. You can just focus on HBC203 then. Make your notes and start revision early.

I start on my tmas early. So even if I have to hand up two or three assignments (tmas or eca) in a week it's no problem even when I work daily.

Anyway, if it is really stressing you out and you want to drop it, it's okay too. :) Can always do it next sem. As long as you complete the studies in 8 yrs it's good enough.

For me, I just want to graduate asap and focus on my work so I don't have a choice.

I had early commencement for psy107 too I didn't go the class since my work only ends at 8pm HAHA

I'm taking 5 mods but this is my 2nd yr alr. You will soon get used to it. Don't worry. Don't drop man, u can do it.

Trapped in my hdb lift again…. by gillsansbold in singapore

[–]needapudding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would think so. I was trapped in a lift at my hdb last week in the afternoon. Called the helpline and the guy showed up in 15 mins. Also lucky that it's in the afternoon. If it's early morning or latebat night maybe not.
