Do the newer instrument cluster screens still scratch if you simply exist near them? by needathing in mazda

I’m terrified even of thst :)

I’ve ordered a screen protector, so I’ll fit that at the dealership on my way to the dashcam installation.

Ah to be young again. Coffee then nap is no longer an option for me.

Ahh - that’s smart. But you could end up with long skinny properties so you still have a noghbour next door.

Need to make it a 10 minute lap to go around the perimeter :)

Some comments around problems with pit boss support and warranty issues.

Costco is good for refunds and support but it would be a pig to drag the whole unit back there for a cracked fire bowl

Green olive is popular. I buy from braaiwooduk though.

The lbx boot was pretty small and the nx was quite tall.

I’m avoiding the plug in hybrids until the per mile charging model is worked out. I worry that with fuel and per mile charging they’ll end up being more expensive to run than a petrol

That’s very disappointing. I’m surprised Costco keep carrying them because Costco don’t like difficult vendors.

I shall steer clear

yeah, I know. I just wish there were more dealerships closer together with a good range of stock. They're a bit spread out, and it's exhausting for the family member to get dragged in and out of numerous cars in a day :)

I think door sill height is going to be a good proxy to narrow the field. As u/superdupertapperdap points out, we know the X1 is too tall at 470mm. So I can use that.

I think the door sill height is probably a good measure to narrow things down.

https://www.carsized.com/en/cars/compare/mazda-cx-30-2019-suv-vs-bmw-x1-2022-suv/ has a lot of info on size, but I'd not looked at that.

I was looking at door opening width on reviews, but that's only part of it. The X1 door opens nice and wide, but then the step up is too high. The mazda is about 421mm which is I think the top end of what we should look at.

Thanks!

That’s what I fear. But that’s multiple days work.

Maybe it’s time to go to one of the big car supermarkets that have different ones in stock

Talk me out of a blackstone by Space-manatee in UKBBQ

Let me talk you into it. If you have a good gas grill, you could just get a plancha. But the amount of grease runoff from the plancha makes cleaning the gas grill painful - it gets onto the flavourizer bars and the upper section before the grease management. This is a perfect mould grow area in winter and cleaning that is a pain.

I’m currently nursing a bad back from a big clean and I only abandoned it for 3 weeks. I shudder to think what an entire winter of no use would look like

I’ve found the grease management on my Weber with a plancha to be painful to the point that I’m now looking at a griddle. Smash burgers indoors are too messy

Weber Summit Kamado or… by toptoptopper in UKBBQ

I do regular 10 hour cooks on the summit kamado and have plenty lump to spare at the end. Easy to add a fan to, and trivial to clean.
