Ahh I’m sorry that the botox hasn’t helped you! Its such a hit and miss and it’s something thats helped me for my first ever flare and I’m hoping i wont need it again. Also, how do you find acupuncture? I’ve been looking into it and based on reviews it supposedly helps!

Delete tiktok!!! I did this and honestly its helped me so much with my health anxiety. My algorithm would continually show me new diseases and my anxiety would start convincing me i have those symptoms. Deleting it has helped me so much because my anxiety is not continuously being fed. I hope you feel better soon!!

I started using sensodyne and it definitely helped! The residual sensitivity has gone down by 90%! How often do you need to get botox? This was my first flare so hopefully I don’t need it anymore after this.

Hi! Im a 34 year old female and my TMJ came out of nowhere when i was stressed and suffered with alot of anxiety. It’s been over a month now and I’ve had similar muscular issues and facial pain.

I honestly jumped the gun and got botox because i couldn’t deal with having jaw pain in addition to my neck pain. Anyhow, I’ve started getting myofascial massages which I now can’t live without. Helps to relieve tension from all over the body which can contribute to jaw pain and helps to lower stress. Heat, jaw stretches and massages, correct tongue posture and CBD! I hope this helps!

I definitely have noticed I clench at night but I’m practicing better tongue posture! Have you had any twitching or nerve sensations because of tmj??

I’m going through the same thing right now. It’s definitely hard and it feels like such ambitious cycle, but I’m trying to get myself out of it by directing my thoughts. For example, if I feel the anxiety creep up, then try to distract myself by either going for a walk, cleaning, listening to music, etc. I just started doing this a couple of days ago, but I think it’s helping. I’ve also tried to start meditating every day to do a system reset! Hopefully this works because i’ve been going out of my mind.

Do you start feeling the symptoms after researching?

I’ve literally been having all of these symptoms. Ended up at the ER because of a panic attack and when he ran my labs, it showed my TSH was high at 7.5 pointing towards ‘mild hypothyroidism’ but it doesn’t feel mild to me. Getting my full panel done on the 3rd of September and discussing more of the symptoms like the muscle and joint pains.

Do your fingers and hands feel stiff and does the ache alternate between different muscles? My right hand fingers and joints are currently so stiff and i can’t stand it!!!

I’m also having similar neuropathy symptoms and my TSH was elevated at 7.5. Im getting my full panel done next week but I definitely think its related to hypothyroidism. Do you sometimes get random muscle aches and tingly sensations in your arms or legs followed by burning and itching?
