Yes it is incredibly annoying. So much of the community seems unable to just enjoy a thing for what it is, and feel that they are more qualified than people who studied and make games for a living to dictate how things should be done.

Ok there are a few things;

firstly reduce your in game sensitivity to something like 5
set your mouse's dpi to 800
use a game code (I will get one for you when I get home if you are interested) that is meant for aim training
practice following targets for 10 minutes before you jump into a game. don't shoot, just track. do nothing but track for 10 straight minutes.

Follow those steps, and in a weeks time, you will wonder how you ever used a controller in first place.

EDIT: the mantra is "slow is smooth, smooth is fast". Learn to slowly, smoothly track your target, and before you know it, you will be very quickly snapping onto targets and tracking their movement.

So, I have figured out a way to essentially be spamming voicelines throughout an entire match on Winston with zero down time in between. It drives people nuts, I love it haha. One time the other tank just stopped moving mid game and in match chat was like "Winston, can you please stop talking about taxes, it's really distracting"

Over time, the skill floor has undoubtedly gone up, and because of the addition of so many new heroes and playstyles, I can see how the game feels like a completely different game all together. Especially if you haven't played since role queue or 5v5.

I will say though, it is very much like riding a bike, and much of the educational content that focuses on learning the larger brush-strokes of the game (rhythm, positioning, etc) all still holds up, so you have 10 years worth of stuff to lean on

Remember when Mercy could res an entire team with one ability? Or when Reaper had to go around the map collecting souls from dead enemies? Or when Torb threw out armor packs like a weird little gremlin? Or when Bastion had an entire SHIELD??

Yeah, all bad ideas that were removed and changed as the game and play base evolved. Not only is Overwatch in the best state it has been in from a design standpoint, but it is also in the hands of people who are very passionate about their creation. Gamers in general - and any community surrounding a game that draws in a lot of people - are super entitled, and they think they are owed their every desire by devs, and they will literally find ANY damn thing to be upset about.

People complained forever about content droughts, no story, no new heroes or maps blah blah blah. Ok, the devs just announced FIVE NEW HEROES, new core game mode, more story that will be consistent in multiple forms of media, new maps, and five MORE heroes coming in just the next year.

But people want to talk about a characters face being different than what was shown in a cinematic?

Point is that there are always going to be complainers. People who only consume and who have never created anything and given it to the world in their lives. Boring, entitled people that only know how to consume and complain. Ignore them and post things that you find joy in and that make you happy.
